In just a few days, LEGO will be releasing some new LEGO Marvel 4+ sets for Spidey and his Amazing Friends and the first one we’ll be checking out is the Drill Spinner Vehicle (10792). The set has 58 pieces and will retail for $9.99.
Minifigures
The set contains minifigures of Miles “Spin” Morales and Electro. Miles Morales has on his signature red, black, and gold outfit but since this is a 4+ set, the details on it aren’t as complete as with regular minifigures. He does include a large web as an accessory.
Electro in this series is a female character but she still has the yellow and green outfit. The top of the torso does have some metallic silver detailing. She has a single-sided head with printing of a yellow mask over her eyes. Her accessory is a lightning spear.
Build
The build of the this set only contains two things, the traffic light and the Drill Spinner Vehicle. The traffic light is very simple using the 1×1 angular bricks for the lights and are connected to the pole.
The Drill Spinner uses the starter brick chassis to begin the build. It uses the Miles Morales color scheme of red, black, and gold. There’s a drill on the front but it isn’t connnected to anything so it doesn’t move on its own. The hood has a nice printed piece for the Miles Morales logo.
Results
Overall the LEGO Marvel Drill Spinner Vehicle (10792) is an okay set for the price point. The set is geared towards younger kids and the build is very simple but the main draw here are the minifigures. This looks to be a new version of Miles Morales and this will be the first time for a female Electro minifigure.
