We’re a little over a month away from the submission phase for the Series 6 BrickLink Designer Program and it looks like they have updated the submission guidelines for what they will be accepting. The main one that sticks out the most is that Modular Buildings will no longer be accepted although other style buildings can still be used.
In addition, depicting harm to animals is now also prohibited. Fishing is still allowed as well as any element that is used to depict food. Also you cannot use animals in zoos, circuses, aquariums or any other situations where they are used for human entertainment. Animals can only be shown in their natural environment.
Lastly, BrickLink wants to avoid highlighting fossil fuels but historical vehicles that use fossil fuels are still accepted.
Some other legalese include avoiding LEGO IP themes such as Ninjago, DREAMZzz, Friends, and Monkie Kid. Castle and Classic Space models cannot sure the various faction names.
For minifigure usage, there is a maximum of one minifigure for every 325 parts and each minifigure head can only be used once.
The Series 6 BrickLink Designer Program will start accepting submissions in 36 days and will run until for about a week and change so if there are any changes that you need to make, now is a good time to check to see if you meet these new guidelines.
