One of the more iconic vehicles in TV history is the 1966 Batmobile and recently LEGO has released the Batman: The Classic TV Series Batmobile (76328). It has 1,822 pieces and retails for a very reasonable $149.99.
Minifigure
The set does include the Adam West Batman minifigure which has him in the gray and blue outfit. The torso is new and the back has a neat little Easter egg with the zipper. The cape that is used is the new rubbery version however he has always used a fabric cape in the show. He has a double-sided head which shows him with a smile on one side and a snarl on the other. His accessory is his trust Batarang.
One of the main complaints of the set is that it does not include a Robin minifigure. We’re not sure why LEGO does not like to add him in sets but he’s missing in this one as well.
Build
Like with other larger scale Batman vehicles, the set also includes a gargoyle stand for the minifigure, however, this one is a smaller version since there’s only one minifigure.
We also have the display plaque with information about the Batmobile which uses a large sticker.
The 1966 Batmobile is the latest one to get upscale version and it looks great. The size of it is comparable to the 1989 Batmobile and the Tumbler and will look great when displayed together.
The front part has the various red outlines that the original car had although they are smooth all around. There are some stickers showing some of the gadgets on the car like the Bat Ray and the Gas.
The interior of the car is where a majority of the detailing is at with a bunch more gadgets. We have stickers for the Batscanner and Bat Ram in front of the steering wheel which is non-functional. Also on the driver side are the pedals which are fairly obscured.
In the middle area, we have the Bat Turn lever up top near the emergency lights. Underneath, there’s a gear stick along with the handbrake. There’s also the red Batphone and fire extinguisher there as well.
On to the passenger side, there are stickers for the Detect-a-Scope, radio, and the glove compartment.
The whole area is covered mostly with the new windscreen parts that recreates the look from its real-life counterpart.
Behind the cockpit, there are some silver exhausts which shoots anti-theft rockets when Riddler tries to steal the Batmobile in Hi Diddle Riddle.
The back of the Batmobile has the trunk where the Mobile Crime Computer is stored. There’s some stickers used at the bottom for the wiring and power cords.
At the very back of the Batmobile, there are some brown bags used for the Bat Chutes. They flank the large thruster but it’s a shame that there was no flame piece included for even more accuracy. Also in the back are some stickers for the Nail Spreaders. Although it’s hard to see, there’s a sticker licence plate tucked under the thruster.
The overall shape of the car represents the 1966 Batmobile down to the angled wings on the sides of the car. They are attached using a series of hinges, however, they are also really fragile. The only thing that’s off about it are the arches above the wheels which are more blocky and not rounded more.

The LEGO Batman: The Classic TV Series Batmobile (76328) is a very decent build and is a candidate for one of the better deals of the year. Coming in at just $150 for a licensed 1,800 piece set is well worth it. The set also being a great display piece alongside the other Batmobiles doesn’t hurt either.
There are some minor downsides to the set as well. One is the amount of stickers used for the detailing. There are 27 of them and most of them are doubles to put on either sides of the car. There are also no actual play features so this truly makes the set just a display piece which I am okay with given the price point.
Thank you to LEGO for sending in this set for me to review. The content above represents my own opinion and not the company. Review sets sent in does not guarantee a positive review.
