LEGO BrickHeadz 150th Theme Winner Announced

Last month, LEGO did a fan vote to pick the 150th LEGO BrickHeadz set and the winning theme has been announced. There were four themes to choose from and they are Lilo & Stitch, Minecraft, Jaws, and Star Wars and the winner is:

Star Wars

There were 13,000 people who voted and the majority of it went to Star Wars. This is obviously very disappointing as we’ve already seen 15 other Star Wars BrickHeadz already while there were two brand new IPs on the table that could’ve been added. Oh well, let’s just wait for yet another Star Wars BrickHeadz to be their special 150th one.

LEGO Ideas Medieval Blacksmith (21325) Rumored to be Coming in February

It reached the 10,000 supporter goal last June and was announced as one of the winning projects earlier this year in February alongside Winnie the Pooh. The build was designed by Namirob and the upcoming set is said to be coming in February 2021 and will be priced between $100-$180. That’s a pretty wide price range so we’ll have to see how big it is which will determine the price. As always, these are purely rumors until LEGO announces it.

Predicting Future LEGO Sets for Upcoming Marvel/MCU Projects

A few hours ago, Disney held their Investor Day where they showed a lot of upcoming shows from various franchises. The most exciting thing for me was the Marvel Studios part of the event where Kevin Feige talked about some of the projects that will be coming out for Marvel and the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the next few years. Let’s take a look at everything that was shown to see if there’s any potential LEGO sets that could come out of it. Of course, these are only guesses and not guaranteed to be true.

• WandaVision – We probably won’t see anything come out for this.
• The Falcon and the Winter Soldier – It’s possible that there could be a one-off set for it featuring both characters.
• Loki – An interesting show that I have no idea what’s going on and highly unlikely to see any sets.
• What If…? – I can actually see this happening in some form. It’ll be cool to see some of the main Marvel characters in different roles.
• Shang-Chi: The Legend of the Ten Rings – 50% chance we’ll see one set for the movie.
• Ms. Marvel – A good opportunity to introduce the character to a wider audience.
• Captain Marvel 2 – More than likely we’ll see something out of it.
• Hawkeye – The show will be cool but probably no.
• She-Hulk – Like Ms. Marvel, it’ll be cool to see a She-Hulk minifigure.
• Moon Knight – I’d give it … Continue

LEGO Batman 1989 Batmobile (76139) Roof Updated

If you purchased the LEGO Batman 1989 Batmobile (76139) early on, the roof on the cockpit used a matte 6×6 tile which also shows a unsightly injection point in the middle. LEGO has recently updated the set quietly on the building instructions and has changed out the part out for three 2×6 tiles (Part 6318582) to give it a sleeker look which is more consistent with the rest of the vehicle.

If you have the set already, you can contact customer service to see if they will be able to offer you the parts. The tile is a new piece for 2020 as it was introduced with the LEGO Nintendo Entertainment System (71374) and the LEGO Ideas 123 Sesame Street (21324). You can also purchase it on Bricks & Pieces for $0.29 each. If you are able to purchase the 1989 Batmobile when it is back in stock, you’ll most likely get the updated parts and instructions.

The LEGO Group’s carbon goal approved by Science Based Targets initiative

The company commits to a new carbon emission reduction target in line with the Paris Agreement’s most ambitious 1.5°C trajectory
Cartoon image of a factory and a tree shaking hands

Today, the LEGO Group has committed to reducing its absolute carbon emissions by 37% by 2032 to ensure the company plays its part in limiting the effects of climate change. The target has been approved by the Science Based Target initiative as consistent with levels required to keep global warming to below 1.5°C, the most ambitious goal of the Paris Agreement.

The company’s target covers emissions from its own operations which equates to 10% of total emissions and includes energy use in its factories, offices and stores, and from its supply chain which equates to 90% of emissions including areas such as raw materials and distribution.

Tim Brooks, VP, Environmental Responsibility, said: “Climate change poses one of the biggest risks to society and the planet that our children will inherit. We are committed to building a better planet for future generations and that means stepping up efforts to reduce carbon emissions across our entire value chain.”

To achieve this target, the LEGO Group will:

Could Rejected LEGO Ideas Projects be Coming to BrickLink?

LEGO has been working more and more with BrickLink, whom they’ve acquired late last year, and putting in resources to help both companies. Recently, they have released a survey asking LEGO fans if they are members of BrickLink and know about LEGO Ideas.

Help us realize more fan creations!

The LEGO Group and BrickLink want to realize more fan creations for the Adult Fan of LEGO (AFOL) community.

As part of this, we are investigating opportunities that the AFOL community has brought forward to see if there’s actually an appetite for these kinds of ideas and to investigate its feasibility.

Please help us by filling out this explorative survey. It shouldn’t take more than 5 minutes to complete. Your participation matters greatly because it improves our ability to do more for you, whether you are a BrickLink seller, buyer, fan designer, or any combination of them!

In the blurb, they state that both companies want to realize more fan creations for AFOLs and are looking at opportunities to do that. From the looks of what they are asking, it seems that they could be bringing some LEGO Ideas projects to BrickLink, referring to the projects that did not pass the review stage.

Let’s say that a project you voted for was not seleceted for production by the LEGO Group. How would you feel if the project was realized through the BrickLink site instead?

Since the support is already there for the most part in terms of the number of supporters achieved for a particular project, BrickLink … Continue

Could LEGO Collectible Minifigures May 2021 Wave be Based on Space Jam 2?

If you saw yesterday, the new January-May 2021 LEGO Catalog was released and one of the pages showed the Series 21 LEGO Collectible Minifigures. On the bottom right corner it also shows a new series will be out in May.

Way back in August, we reported that there was a rumor that there could be a LEGO Looney Tunes Collectible Minifigures coming out next year. I’m not sure where but I’ve recently heard somewhere that this wave could be based on Space Jam: A New Legacy which is the new movie that features LeBron James and other newer NBA and WNBA stars. It also includes some Looney Tunes characters including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety, Pepe Le Pew, Marvin the Martian, Lola Bunny, Porky Pig, Sylvester, Foghorn Leghorn, and Yosemite Sam. If LEGO continues the 12 minifigures per wave, that’s already 10 of them. We can probably throw in Elmer Fudd and the Tasmanian Devil as the last two since they were in the first Space Jam.

Of course, this is purely a rumor and we really don’t know what LEGO has in store for this wave coming out in May. Note that Space Jam 2 comes out in July and marketing for the movie will have probably started by then.

Those particular cases will not have an equal distribution as LEGO can not identify which minifigure was taken out but there will be at least one full set of minifigures per case. The Series 21 LEGO Collectible Minifigures will be available starting on January 1. Which ones are you excited to get?

Rest of Other 2021 LEGO Star Wars Sets Revealed

A few days ago, we got a first look at the upcoming 2021 LEGO Star Wars sets and we now have the rest of the lineup including the spring sets. Our friend Just2Good got some of the sets from LEGO and the back of the instructions has listed the other sets that we haven’t seen yet including:

Imperial Shuttle (75302)
4+ Resistance X-Wing (75297)
Taun Taun & AT-AT Microfighter (75297)

The instructions also show the minifigures that are in each set and the Imperial Shuttle has a Luke Skywalker minifigure with a blue lightsaber which is actually wrong because by this time, he has the green one already. I’m not sure if this is an error and will be fixed later on or not.

What do you guys think of the 2021 LEGO Star Wars sets? So far I’ve seen a mixed reaction for these sets. Some like the smaller sets that are still pretty accurate and a cheaper price point but some don’t like the constant rehashes of previous sets when there’s a slew of other vehicles that could be used.

LEGO Kicks Off How to Spot a Fake LEGO Webstore Campaign

With more people shopping online this year, there’s also a higher chance that people get scammed by some fake websites who are set up just to steal your credit card/personal information. LEGO has kicked off a campaign to teach shoppers how to spot a fake LEGO webstore. For most of us who have been in the hobby for a while, we can easily spot them but this is for some newer fans who are looking for deals.

The most evident sign is that the site is selling expensive sets at really low prices. If you see the UCS Millennium Falcon that is normally priced at $799.99 selling for $200, that’s obviously not going to happen. There was a legit sale last year for it when it went down to $480 but that was on Amazon which is a legit seller of LEGO.

LEGO on the backend has been taking down some of these fake sites but as we know, you take one down, two more pops up. If you see them on social media, you can always report them but it depends on if there are enough reports to get them taken down. The post also suggests that you can contact LEGO Customer Service to report them.

Design Your Own LEGO City Set Unboxing

A few weeks ago, we reported that LEGO was testing a new service that allows you to design your own LEGO City set. A reader named Andreas was able to purchase one and he has sent over images of the unboxing experience.

As you can see from the images, the box shows the set you’ve created on the front along with your name on the bottom right corner. The back and side shows the vehicles, building, minifigure, and animals that you can choose from to add in your custom set.

The builds are separated into individual bags along with the building instructions. There’s also a sticker sheet which looks to have all of the stickers for all the different builds.

Overall, the line has extremely great potential and will be a great idea for gift giving. The recipient will most likely be overjoyed seeing their name on the box along with getting the builds. Obviously, LEGO has to update the builds to keep it fresh and would work good with their other themes as well however it probably won’t work with licensed ones. The pilot program is now over and LEGO is gathering details on how it will work in the future. Hopefully the feedback is good and will roll out worldwide.

Unfortunately, the pilot project has been completed and we are now in the process of analyzing the feedback we have received. At present, we are unfortunately unable to confirm the project’s future plans, and our primary focus is to test the concept and gather

Light Brick Studio Branches Out from LEGO Ventures

LEGO has been investing in a lot of gaming lately and it bodes well for the community. Last week, they announced that they are working with Unity for a new LEGO Microgame which you can create your own game using virtual bricks. Yesterday, VentureBeat reported that a game development studio called Light Brick Studio is now a independent company and is also supported by LEGO Ventures.

Light Brick Studio previously created Builder’s Journey for Apple Arcade and was released back in December 2019. The studio is now free to create to create games for LEGO as well as for any external partners they choose. This gives Light Brick Studio a lot leeway on what they are able to work on. I’m interested in seeing what will come of this and if they will expand beyond Apple Arcade since not many people are on it.

LEGO Clarifies “Collaboration” with Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Yesterday, LEGO released some new LEGO DOTS patterns for Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons. People started speculating if LEGO would be doing more with the Animal Crossing franchise and LEGO has released a statement about it. In short, no, LEGO won’t be doing anything much more than that with ACNH at this time. Keep in mind, there is a LEGO Ideas project that is in review and there’s a chance that it could be an official set in the future. Fingers crossed. Check out LEGO’s statement below.

Hi everyone –

You might have seen yesterday that we announced we were adding new LEGO DOTs patterns in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

I’ve been asked by our PR team to clarify that this isn’t a partnership or a collaboration with Nintendo – but rather LEGO DOTS tapping into ACNH, as other brands have done. We haven’t directly worked with Nintendo on this (I know it’s confusing).

We are working with Nintendo for LEGO Super Mario of course, but not for ACNH.

Hope that makes sense!

LEGO Partners with Unity for New LEGO Microgame

LEGO Games is celebrating their 25th anniversary and they have teamed up with Unity which is the world’s leading 3D content development platform to bring you a new game that you can create using virtual bricks. You will also be able to import your creations that are built in BrickLink Studio to the game as well. No prior coding experience is needed as it takes you through the steps of creating your game and sharing it in less than 45 minutes. Check out the press release of LEGO Microgame below.

If there’s one thing that LEGO Games and the world’s leading 3D content development platform, Unity, can agree on, it’s that creativity comes in all forms – whether it’s bringing your creation to life with LEGO® bricks or adding lines of code to develop a video game. Game development can be intimidating for some, but Unity helps lower this obstacle with its series of Microgames – guided experiences designed to get new users working in the Unity Editor quickly and easily.

On October 26, Unity will release its first-ever Microgame created with LEGO Games. Overall, the LEGO Hidden Side El Fuego’s Stunt Cannon (30464) is an alright polybag for $35. It’s not too flashy but it’s not too boring either. The promotion will run for until November 1, just in time for Halloween but if you order online, you probably won’t get it in time for Halloween.

The LEGO Group Doesn’t Support JK Rowling’s Views

The LEGO Harry Potter theme has been extremely popular in the LEGO community but there has also been backlash with the creator of Harry Potter, JK Rowling, regarding things she have said on social media. Fan on social media have asked if JK Rowling has any influence on the LEGO Harry Potter sets which in turn could turn off fans from purchasing any if she does. LEGO’s PR Department has given a response for this issue which you can see below.

There is no place for discrimination in our society. Our mission is to inspire the builders of tomorrow, and that includes inspiring them to be empathetic, kind and inclusive both through our products and our learning through play programmes.

Our partnership to create Wizarding World sets is with Warner Bros, not JK Rowling. Warner Brothers receives the royalty fees from the sales of LEGO Harry Potter sets. You will need to contact Warner Brothers directly to ask them how they distribute these funds.

Since Diversity and Inclusion are a focus for us, we also work with non-profit organisations that support LGBTQ+ children. In Connecticut we have donated to TRUE COLORS, a non-profit organisation that works with social service agencies, schools, organisations and within communities to ensure that the needs of sexual and gender minority youth are both recognised and competently met.

New York Toy Fair 2021 Delayed to May

It was announced a few days ago that the New York Toy Fair for 2021 has been pushed back to May. It was supposed to be in February but due to uncertain times of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Toy Association thought it was best to delay the event for a few more months.

New York Toy Fair is usually the time when we see some of the new LEGO sets for the upcoming summer. LEGO changed that last year as we didn’t really see much new products but only for a select few. With everything that’s been going on, I have a feeling that LEGO will do something similar and possibly doing their own reveals due to the shifted timeline.

LEGO Ideas First 2020 Review Stage Winner Announced

After a long review, LEGO has announced the winner of the LEGO Ideas First 2020 Review Stage which consisted of 26 projects. The winning project is the Earth Globe by Guillaume Roussel (Disneybrick55). The build features a buildable globe that you can use for educational purposes.

In addition, the Sonic Mania – Green Hill Zone is still being considered as a possible set but LEGO needs further review on it. Considering that Sonic has crossed over to Nintendo, it’s possible that the set will be under the Nintendo umbrella.

After the review, there are however, 24 projects that were rejected. This review stage was the largest during the time until the Second 2020 Review Stage even more with 35. LEGO fans were hoping that more projects would pass but it didn’t work out that way.

LEGO also did a Music to our Ears contest to build something musical and the winner of that contest was the Legendary Stratocaster by TOMOELL. This build will also become an official LEGO Ideas set as well.

LEGO Supports BIONICLE: Quest for Mata Nui Fan Made Game

If you’re a fan of the LEGO BIONICLE theme, you may have known about a fan made open world game called BIONICLE: Quest for Mata Nui and LEGO has finally acknowledged it and are supportive of it. CrainyCreations, who has been developing it for six years, has been in contact with The LEGO Group and LEGO Games to discuss the future of the game. The game itself is set in the world of LEGO BIONICLE and it “retells the 2001 story of the Toa Mata’s quest for the Kanohi Masks of Power, culminating in their battle against Makuta.”

As many fans are aware, there is a fan made BIONICLE game 6 years in the making that was announced a few months ago. Recently the creator of the game made a statement online about speaking directly to TLG. I can confirm that CrainyCreations has been in touch with TLG. Statement below:

A message from LEGO Games:

“We can confirm CrainyCreations, the creators behind “Bionicle: Quest for Mata Nui”, was in dialog with us (i.e. LEGO Games) to discuss the future plans of the game including ways the project can continue to exist. We see game development as an exciting opportunity to add new way to engage with the LEGO brick. In the LEGO Games team, we are always looking for ways to inspire and encourage the fan community including a recently BETA launched LEGO Microgame in partnership with Unity. Perhaps this can help give others the tools to do what CrainyCreations has done by encouraging and making

ToySphere Launches New Way to Shop for LEGO

There’s a new service that has recently launched that is a new way to explore and shop for LEGO called ToySphere. What it basically does is that it takes all the LEGO themes and puts theme into “spheres” to give you a visual way to see all of the sets that have been released in a particular theme from the last decade. By zooming in on a certain item, you can either check out the description or purchase it off the LEGO Shop or on the secondary market if it’s retired.

Since ToySphere just went live, there are only a few spheres/themes available at the moment but will be continuously updated in the near future. Since we process visual data better, ToySphere has done a good job in putting all the sets in certain categories within the theme.

Sphere are excited to announce the launch of LEGO ToySphere, a completely unique and immersive format, reimagining shopping for LEGO and allowing fans to view the last decade of LEGO like never before.

Lifelong LEGO fans Olly Treadway and Warren Minde have come together to build ToySphere – bringing the excitement, playfulness and immersion of a trip to a real LEGO store online. Pouring time and passion into building this awesome new way to explore and shop LEGO, the team have spent the past six years on this epic fan project.

Brick Hound Alerts for LEGO Shop Stock Availability

There’s a new independent service called Brick Hound that sends you text alerts for when items are available again on the LEGO Shop. It checks the status of an item and if it sees a change, it’ll send you an alert. I’ve had a few readers message me about it saying that it works so I’ve signed up for it to test it out and sure enough, it worked on the LEGO Star Wars Bespin Duel (75294). Currently, it only works for the US market and if you don’t want any more alerts, you can also unsubscribe from it as well.

Msg & data rates may apply. Your phone number will only be used to send alerts as requested by you. No other personally identifying information will be collected, and your phone number will not be shared. You may text “STOP” at any time to immediately terminate all text messages.

LEGO Winter Village Elf Club House (10275) Q&A with Chris McVeigh

The new LEGO Winter Village Elf Club House (10275) was announced yesterday and it was revealed that AFOL Chris McVeigh was the LEGO designer for the set. If you remember, Chris used to create a lot of festive builds and the Elf Club House is the perfect thing for him to design as his very first Winter Village set. LEGO has done a short interview with Chris where he gives some details about the set and what helped him along the way.

Q: What was your inspiration for the LEGO Elf Clubhouse?

I thought it would be great fun to explore the world of Santa’s Elves. Where do they go after a hard day’s work making toys? What do they do for fun? Do they give gifts to each other for Christmas? In terms of architecture, the set was inspired by both alpine chalets and Tudor-style homes, with a dash of Christmas magic for good measure.

Q: What is your favorite element of this set?

The reindeer, which is all-new with this set! I like to call her Brixen.

Q: Are there any Easter eggs or interesting designing anecdotes you can tell us about the set?

Before working for LEGO, I was known for building old computers out of LEGO bricks. So, I thought it would be a fun nod to my past to include a small brick-build computer in this set.

Q: How do you find your inspiration for the holiday sets?

Christmas has always been a special time of year for my family and … Continue

New LEGO City Road System Rumored for 2021

You may have seen this on social media but in case you haven’t yet, there is a rumor that LEGO will be using a new road system for City layouts. Currently, a majority of builders are using the road plates but there is speculation that the new system will be built using tile pieces on a baseplate.

Obviously using this new road system (60304) will be challenging due to the fact that the roads will be taller than the usual road plates and it won’t be compatible with the modular builds as well. LEGO did say something about the new LEGO City road system:

We reached out to the LEGO City team yesterday about this to determine if it is a rumor or a leak. Understanding how prevalent and widely used road baseplates are by AFOLs, it is like that if a change coming, there is likely an explanation or thoughts on why a change like this would happen. Lets see what LEGO City has to say but then again, this could be months before they planned to announce something so it could take some time.

Right now, the existing road plates are on sale at Amazon at slightly discounted prices if you want to stock up in case LEGO is indeed switching over next year.

LEGO Confirms Retired LEGO Ideas Sets Relaunching With New Set Numbers

A few days ago, there were rumors of some recently retired LEGO Ideas sets that would be coming back but with different set numbers. The two sets are the NASA Apollo Saturn V (21309) and the Ship in a Bottle (21313). Word has it that they were very popular and would be coming back with set numbers 92176 and 92177, respectively.

LEGO has confirm that those two particular sets will be relaunching and have also given a short statement of why they will be doing it. Note that the agreements with the two fan designers will remain the same and they will still get royalties from the sales.

From the LEGO Ideas team:

The two sets are being re-launched due to popular demand, and as they had already left the market, we could not keep the original numbers. The agreements with the Fan Designers remain unchanged.

Also: one of the new set numbers matches a fan designer’s birthday. They were both very involved in the process.

LEGO DC FanDome Supergirl Minifigure Sweepstakes Didn’t Happen?

The official rules state that the drawing would occur within approximately five business days after the drawing entry period which ended on August 23. It has already been 15 business days since and not a peep from anyone. Was this a scam and people wasted most of their time trying to enter the contest?

Potential winner(s) for each Drawing will be selected in a random drawing by Sponsor’s designated representative from among all eligible entries received for the applicable Drawing during the applicable Drawing Entry Period. The drawings will occur within approximately five (5) business days after the end of the applicable Drawing Entry Period. LEGO has officially announced their partnership with Levi’s for a clothing line collection. This collaboration features a variety of clothing including a jacket, hoodie, sweater, shirt, and jeans. There’s also plenty of accessories to go along with the look including a cap, beanie, bags, and a fanny pack.

LEGO Group x Levi’s®

Wearable Art. Celebrating Limitless Imagination.

Who doesn’t love LEGO® bricks? And who doesn’t have a fond LEGO memory from their childhood (or even adulthood)? Whether you build from instructions, or dream up something from your imagination, LEGO building is the ultimate platform for creative experimentation and development.

And of course, no one loves creativity and playfulness — as well as infinite customizability — more than Levi’s®. Which is exactly why the two iconic brands have teamed up for a special Levi’s® and LEGO Group collection.

“This is such a fun collaboration celebrating self-expression, creativity and nostalgia,” says Karyn Hillman, Chief Product Officer for Levi Strauss & Co. “It’s Levi’s® and the LEGO Group coming together to co-create something really special and new, but undeniably

LEGO x Adidas A-ZX First Look

Last week, LEGO did a teaser for their upcoming collaboration with Adidas for the A-ZX series of shoes. HighSnobiety was sent an early pair of the shoes to take a look at and they don’t look that bad.

The packaging comes in LEGO 2×3 brick box but the inner box looks to be a custom box to HighSobiety so you probably won’t get that when you order it. The shoe itself is mostly gray with accents of blue, green, red, and yellow which are LEGO’s basic colors.

There’s no word on a release date but it should be some time later this month at select retailers and at Adidas.com. It was also stated the price point could be between $120-$130 but that was just a guess. Who’s looking forward to picking up a pair?

LEGO Releases Statement on Surge of Projects Achieving 10,000 Supporters on LEGO Ideas

LEGO has given a statement on the recent surge of projects that are hitting 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. Should they change the way LEGO Ideas works whether it being upping the supporter threshold or decrease the timeframe needed to reach 10k?

Since the amount of projects have doubled to tripled the amount we usually get, LEGO has contributed this to the free time people have online due to COVID-19. The trend is still too early too see whether it will continue or not so they will not be making any changes to LEGO Ideas at this time but they are planning changes for the long term. This includes addressing the current trends along with realizing more AFOL project designs while being mindful of what LEGO Ideas is supposed to be.

Over the past six months, we have read a growing number of comments from the fan community related to the significant growth of product ideas reaching 10,000 supporters. A lot of those comments ask the same thing. Is it time for change on LEGO Ideas? Should we increase the supporter threshold, decrease the timeframe or change something else altogether?

The last two review periods have shown an invigorated interest in LEGO Ideas product idea submissions. We’ve gone from averaging about 10-12 product ideas in each review phase to seeing 26 and 35 product ideas, respectively, in the last review phases. A significantly leap.

We want to let you know that we’re aware that this increase is occurring. We’re also aware that this significant increase has

Thirty Five Projects Qualify for LEGO Ideas Second 2020 Review Stage

The deadline to enter the LEGO Ideas Second 2020 Review Stage has passed and there were a whopping 35 projects that qualified for it. This breaks the record set last review stage with 26. If you’ve followed my posts, I gave an update on each one that qualified and I’ve even missed a couple because it got really hard trying to keep up with it.

There is a variety of licensed and non-licensed projects so LEGO will have their hands full trying to critique each one to see if they will become an official LEGO Ideas set. Since there are so many projects that qualified, nine more than last time, hopefully more will pass than the accustomed two or three we usually get every review stage. Which one(s) do you think will pass?

LEGO Ideas Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout Course Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout Course by The Real Ashnflash is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. If you played video games during the past few weeks, Fall Guys has been one of the most, if not, popular games online. The most amusing part for me was watching TimTheTatMan trying to win his first crown. The build is a race course comprised of various sections that you can find in the game and it also proposed a number of Fall Guys as well.

It now joins The Mountain Windmill, Community – Greendale Community College, LEGO HeroQuest, Brickwest Studios, House from Up, Animal Crossing New Horizons: Nook’s Cranny, Trabant 601, Night at the Museum, Fast Food Corner, Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Portal 2 – GLaDOS vs Chell and Wheatley, BMW M1 (E26), Caribbean Clipper, Sheriff’s Safe with Combination Lock, 31 Minutos T.V. LEGO Harry Potter VIP Reward Center Signed Sets

A few days ago, LEGO put some items up on the LEGO VIP Reward Center and they were items that were actually worthy of being collector’s items. To celebrate the release of the LEGO Harry Potter Diagon Alley (75978), there were some signed Harry Potter sets signed by James and Oliver Phelps who played Fred and George Weasley in the movies.

The sets included the Attack of the Burrow (75980), Hedwig (75979), Hogwarts Astronomy Tower (75969), and Hogwarts Express (75955) and the points needed to get them ranged from 7,800 to 16,800. Not surprisingly, all of them are now sold out since many people have been hoarding points and waiting for something good to show up. Those who were at the right place at the right time were able to get them easily since LEGO really didn’t announce it and I’m okay with that. I can also see the other side of the coin where fans who wanted the items weren’t able to get it because they didn’t know about it. I actually didn’t know about it someone pointed it out to me.

I believe this this the first time that LEGO has offered an item of substantial amount and I’m pretty sure it won’t be the last time they do it so keep an eye out on major releases to see if they added anything new.

LEGO BrickHeadz Hagrid & Buckbeak (40412) Sold Out on Shop@Home

It’s not really a surprise but the LEGO BrickHeadz Hagrid & Buckbeak (40412) gift with purchase two pack is now sold out on LEGO Shop@Home. It actually sold out halfway through the day on the 1st and that’s pretty fast considering the fairly high threshold needed to get it. Obviously, getting Diagon Alley (75978) was the easiest way to get one since you needed $100 purchase of LEGO Harry Potter products. LEGO Brand Stores could potentially still have some left but chances are pretty slim. Currently, it is going for about $40-$50 on the secondary market which is a bummer if you missed out on it.

LEGO could either announce it then or release it on that day with the announcement being a few days/weeks before. They could also do an event exclusive similar to the DC FanDome Wonder Woman (77906) or another minifigure giveaway. Of course this is all speculation and we’ll have to wait and see what LEGO has in store.

LEGO Star Wars Bespin Duel (75294) Shipping Confirmations Being Sent Out

For those who ordered the LEGO Star Wars Bespin Duel (75294) on Shop@Home, LEGO is now sending out shipping confirmations for the set. I had a few comments come in saying that the status of the set went to “out of stock” and were worried that their order may have been cancelled. I also had the same thing happen to me but I’m happy to see that it was just a minor glitch in the system. If you missed out on it, Target is still selling it but you will need a RedCard to purchase it.

LEGO Harry Potter Collectible Minifigures (71028) Series 2 Box Distribution Completely Random

The Series 2 LEGO Harry Potter Collectible Minifigures (71028) officially releases in a few days but if you’re planning to purchase a full box, there’s a warning that you should know about. Usually we can expect three complete sets per box for a particular series, but things have changed for this wave. There are multiple reviews online now and we can pretty much confirm that the box distribution is completely random.

Some fan media sites like Brickset and Promobricks has opened full boxes and what they got were very different from each other. For example, Brickset got seven Griphooks while Promobricks got zero Ron Weasley minifigures and eight Hermione. Over on YouTube, an example is that someone got five Neville minifigures.

This is the first time since I’ve gotten back in the hobby that I can not report on a set distribution rate for the minifigures because I simply can’t. I don’t know why LEGO changed it but this change could affect future minifigures series as well. If you’re looking to get them, I suggest purchasing a complete set from an independent shop or if you can safely do it, feel for them yourselves individually.

LEGO Star Wars The Razor Crest (75292) Set Name Change Coming to North America?

A few readers have noticed that the LEGO Star Wars The Razor Crest (75292) has been removed from Shop@Home. This probably means that there might a set name change coming soon for it like with the European versions of the set which is now called The Mandalorian Bounty Hunter Transport. In Europe, the term “Razor Crest” isn’t trademarked by Lucasfilms but by Michael Gaßmann who owns a site called Modbrix which is using the term to sell a MOC of the Razor Crest.

There could be a lengthy legal battle going on in Europe between Lucasfilms and Modbrix for the use of the term and LEGO may simply not deal with it and just change the name to something more generic. This name change may have a ripple effect on the North American version of the set as well and hence the product page takedown. I wouldn’t be too surprised if the page comes back up in a day or two with the new set name. Note that Amazon still has their product listing up with the Razor Crest name.

Update: It looks like North America will indeed have the name change. Below is an image of the US pre-order on Shop@Home which has the new set name. Thanks to Mike for the image.

LEGO Unikitty TV Series Ends

Cartoon Network has aired the final episode of Unikitty with a two-part finale called The Birthday to End All Birthdays. If you remember from last year, it was reported that Cartoon Network didn’t pick up the series for another season but that was rebuked by the showrunners. There was a gaps between airings of episodes in the last two seasons, nine months in season two and four months in the last season. I’m not sure if it was Cartoon Network or the show itself that caused those delays.

All in all, there were 104 total episodes of Unikitty that aired between 2017 until now. There is a niche group of dedicated fans of the show which probably kept it going longer than expected. There were eight LEGO sets that were released for the show along with a series of Unikitty blind bags.
