There are now official images of the LEGO City 2020 Advent Calendar (60268) coming from the German online shop Meinspielzeug. The set has 342 pieces and it has six minifigures, including Santa. I also do like the printing on the ugly sweater on one of the minifigures.

LEGO Announces Partnership with National Geographic to Inspire Children

Although we’ve already seen images of the summer 2020 LEGO City and LEGO Friends sets, LEGO has announced their partnership with National Geographic to inspire children about exploration and the protection of endangered species. These sets have the National Geographic label on the boxes and in addition, LEGO has also announced a contribution towards the National Geographic Society to fund grants in ocean exploration and species conservation.

Billund, Denmark, 25 June 2020: Today, the LEGO Group and National Geographic unveil their most recent partnership. New LEGO® City and LEGO® Friends sets have been developed to create awareness about exploration and the protection of endangered species in the world’s jungles and oceans. To support the launch and engage children even further, a campaign has been developed in collaboration with National Geographic to encourage children to explore the world and maybe even develop their own creative ideas on solving the real-life challenges our world is facing. LEGO Clarifies Reports of LEGO City/Fire Set Removals

For those who saw reports of LEGO stopping sales of LEGO City Police and Fire sets, you’ll be glad to know that is completely false. LEGO has released a statement this morning regarding the issue and explained that they were just temporarily pausing the advertising of the sets in response to the events happening here in the US. Nowhere in the email, which I also received, did it say that they were not selling the sets anymore.

We’ve seen incorrect reports saying we’ve removed some LEGO sets from sale. To be clear, that is not the case and reports otherwise are false. Our intention was to temporarily pause digital advertising in response to events in the US. We hope this clears things up. ♥️

LEGO City 2019 Advent Calendar (60235) Amazon Sale – May 2020

It’s Christmas in the spring as Amazon has the LEGO City 2019 Advent Calendar (60235) on sale for 37% off the retail price. This is the lowest price it has been at in a few months and only second to the deeper sale it had at the beginning of the year. The set has 234 pieces and it has seven minifigures including Santa Claus. Since the box doesn’t really label it for 2019, it can be used in the future as well.
