The LEGO City Baby Gorilla Encounter (30665) polybag is now available as one of the items in the Rewards Center that you can redeem. The polybag requires 500 LEGO Insider points and there are now dedicated product pages that you can redeem from. The set is one of the new LEGO City Jungle Explorer sets that have been released this summer and marks the return of Johnny Thunder.

If you’re not a LEGO Insider, the LEGO Tribute to Jules Verne’s Books (40690) is now available for purchase for the general public on the LEGO Shop. Currently in the US, it did not sell out for Insiders so now everybody has a chance to get it even if you’re not an Insider. The LEGO Trophy Award (40688) is also still available with purchases of $65 on City, Classic, DREAMZzz, Friends, and/or Ninjago. Both promotions will end on June 30.

The Jules Verne set will be available from now until June 30 with purchases of $150, while supplies last while the Trophy is available with $65 purchases of LEGO City, Classic, DREAMZzz, Friends, and/or Ninjago. LEGO City Main Square (60271) Amazon Sale – June 2024

LEGO City Sets to Feature New Interactive Brick

Brickset has discovered some new LEGO City sets which will feature a new interactive brick to enhance play with the sets. These sets include the Jungle Explorer Base Camp (60691), The Lost Crocodile Temple (60692), and the Survivor Island Seaplane (60693). These sets feature an interactive brick along with tile tags and interactive minifigures which will “deliver a sensory-rich and responsive play experience for kids.”

It looks like the smart bricks is currently being beta tested over in the UK and should hopefully spread to other markets later on. North America doesn’t even have any of these sets listed yet so we’ll probably have to wait a few more months to see what they’re all about.

We don’t get the full lineup of sets like with UK and Europe since we have different marketing strategies but there’s still plenty to keep us busy until the August wave.
