It’s that time where information about next year’s LEGO sets start to come out and Promobricks has the scoop on what we could be seeing for the LEGO Creator 2022 sets. It looks like we’ll get the usual small vehicles and mechs as well as various creatures and animals but there are some new ideas that we haven’t seen before as well as something from the past. Keep in mind these are roughly translated and are considered rumors until they show up at a verfied retailer or LEGO announces them.

The LEGO FC Barcelona Camp Nou (10284) was released a few days ago and LEGO has also dropped the designer video for the set. Senior LEGO Designer Rok Zgalin Kobe talks about some of the details that goes into the 5,509 piece set.

LEGO FC Barcelona Camp Nou (10284) Officially Announced

LEGO has officially announced the new LEGO FC Barcelona Camp Nou (10284). The set has 5,509 pieces and will retail for $349.99/£299.99/€329.99. In addition to the release of the set, there is also a trivia for a chance to win the new set, a personalised minifigure in the famous red and blue football strip and a certificate recognising your superfan status. There are a total of 46 prizes up for grabs, one prize for each of the members of FC Barcelona’s female and male first team squads.

In addition, there is also the promotion for the LEGO FC Barcelona Celebration (40485) with purchases of Camp Nou (10284). It will run from September 1-12, while supplies last.

A few hours ago, LEGO launched the pilot program for the new LEGO sets with new color schemes in the UK. It looks like Zavvi US is also selling the LEGO Creator Fiat 500 (77942) so for those who wanted this set here, you’ll be able to purchase it. The set does retail for $89.99 and you won’t get any VIP points but at least you’ll be able to order this exclusive set.

LEGO Announces Pilot Program for New Set Color Schemes

After the accidental reveals of some existing LEGO sets in new color schemes earlier this month, LEGO has officially announced a pilot program for these sets. Unfortunately, they are exclusively doing it over in the UK so the rest of the world won’t be able to participate and there will be limited availability for them. You’ll have until November 30 to get your orders in, while supplies last. The only set that is not exclusive to the UK is the Fiat 500 which ships internationally. Below is a list of what retails have which sets available for purchase.

The LEGO Group is running a pilot with a small number of products to gain a deeper understanding of what our fans want from our portfolio and where they prefer to shop for new or unique products.

The pilot includes variations of some of our existing products, so we can find out more about the colors and sizes of sets that fans of all ages want to see more of in our portfolio.

LEGO has released the teaser for the not-so-secret LEGO FC Barcelona Camp Nou (10284) set. The set features the iconic football stadium in Barcelona where Lionel Messi used to play at. Yesterday, we got the official images of the FC Barcelona Celebration (40485) which is supposedly the gift with purchase set you get when you buy Camp Nou. LEGO Color Scheme Options Surface on LEGO Shop

Earlier this month, it was revealed that some LEGO sets will be getting new color schemes and it looks like the LEGO Shop is getting ready to implement them. Both the Fiat 500 (10271) and Mighty Dinosaurs (31058) have some new color selection options added to their product pages.

Currently, they only have the original colors for the sets but we already know that the Fiat will also have a light blue color scheme while the Mighty Dinosaurs will have two more options, brown and earth blue. There’s no word yet on when LEGO will launch them but it’s possible that they’ll be up on September 1.
