LEGO Creator NASA Apollo 11 Lunar Lander (10266) Officially Announced

LEGO Creator NASA Apollo 11 Lunar Lander (10266)

LEGO has officially revealed the next direct-to-consumer LEGO Creator set with the NASA Apollo 11 Lunar Lander (10266). The set has 1,087 pieces and will retail for $99.99 and it will be available starting on June 1. You may have seen images of the set online and able to be purchased at certain retailers the past week or so but we can finally show it off while respecting the embargo.

The set was produced to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission in which Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the moon. Although the set doesn’t name the two astronauts, they do include two minifigures to represent them.

Check out the full press release of the LEGO Creator NASA Apollo 11 Lunar Lander (10266) below along with official images of the set.

New LEGO Space Set Coming Soon

LEGO has teased on social media of a new space set that will be coming soon to a store near you. If you’ve looked online hard enough, you probably already know what this is but if you chose to stay clear of it, you’ll be pretty surprised. The clip shown below shows a lunar lander on the moon with a space minifigure hopping off and leaving a footprint.

LEGO Creator Summer 2019 Official Set Images

LEGO Creator Carousel (31095)

Images of the Summer 2019 LEGO sets have started to surface online and there are now some for the LEGO Creator theme. The most interesting one to me is the new Carousel which looks to expand on the smaller fairground rides which started with the Pirate Roller Coaster (31084) from last summer.

LEGO Creator Cute Pug (30542) Shop@Home Promotion

LEGO Creator Cute Pug (30542)

If you get the LEGO VIP emails, you probably saw that LEGO has started a new gift-with-purchase promotion over on Shop@Home. For purchases of $35 or more online only, you can get the LEGO Creator Cute Pug (30542) polybag for free. This is the same polybag that you can find over at Target but if you weren’t able to find it, here’s another chance to get it if you’re already buying more LEGO.

In addition, for in-store purchases only, you can get a Build-a-Minifigure pack for only $5 when you spend 40 or more. The BAM is usually $9.99 so this is a good discount for three additional minifigures or if you’re searching for minifigure parts.

Last Day for LEGO Marvel Bricktober and Ford Mustang Keychain Promotions

Today is the last day for the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Bricktober 2018 (5005256) promotion on Shop@Home. Once this promo is over, the minifigures that are included will be a little harder to get since they are exclusive to this set.

In addition, LEGO is also throwing in the LEGO Ford Mustang Keychain (5005822) with any purchase of $149.99 or more even though it was originally bundled in with a purchase of the Ford Mustang (10265). I’m not sure if this a bug or of it is intentional as it shows up in your cart either way so get in on it before they find out about the mistake.

LEGO Creator Ford Mustang (10265) Designer Video

The LEGO Creator Ford Mustang (10265) is now available but if you’re still on the fence about it, LEGO has dropped the designer video for the set for you to check out. LEGO designers Carl Merriam & Mani Zamani talk about some of the details of the set including some of the new elements made specially for the Mustang. From a design perspective, the Ford Mustang is arguably the best Creator car to date.

Today is the release day for the LEGO Creator Ford Mustang (10265) and the free promotional gift to go with the set is the Ford Mustang Keychain (5005822). The promotion runs from now until March 10, while supplies last.

As you can see, the keychain comes in a resealable bag and is attached to a cardboard hanger. The keychain itself is a spinner variety where one side of it shows the LEGO logo and the other has the Ford Mustang logo. There’s also a smaller attachment that has the LEGO VIP logo.

If you purchased your set in store, LEGO is also giving away a cool bumper sticker that says, “My other car is a Mustang” and it encourages you to share an image of your car with the sticker on social media.

The LEGO Creator Ford Mustang Keychain (5005822) is a very nice promo item and you can get it for free with your LEGO Creator Ford Mustang (10265) purchase. It has some decent weight to it and the bumper sticker is a nice bonus although I won’t be using it. The keychain won’t show up when you use the dropdown to check the cart but it will be there when you actually go checkout. Supplies are limited but if you decide to wait on it, it potentially runs into the Marvel Bricktober set promotion as that one is now supposed to start on March 8. That’s if LEGO has enough of the keychains in stock online.
