LEGO 2013 Castle, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings Images Leaked

Over on Brickshelf, there are images leaked of the new 2013 sets including Castle, Star Wars, and Lord of the Rings. The images are marked “Confidential” so I will not be posting them here although I will list the names of the sets by theme as well as the expected release dates. Designed to fit with other modular buildings like 10211 Grand Emporium and 10185 Green Grocer, the station features rare LEGO® pieces and innovative construction techniques. It includes a ‘30s-style fire truck, 4 minifigures, a fire-dog, an opening station garage door, and a removable building roof for interior access. LEGO Creator Expert Horizon Express (10233) Revealed

**Updated 10/1/12 – LEGO has posted the Designer video of the Horizon Express on Facebook (See below)**

Today at LEGO Fan Weekend in Denmark, LEGO revealed the first set of their LEGO Creator Expert theme, the Horizon Express (10233). The set contains 1351 pieces and retails for $129.99 and will be available January 2013. The Horizon Express contains 6 minifigures and has 3 train cars which you can make it remote controlled. How excited are you to add another train set to your LEGO collection?

LEGO 2013 Set List

Brickset has found a list on a German toy shop called Wurst of LEGO sets that will be coming out in 2013. It looks like it’s going to be a pretty expensive 2013 so far.

LEGO Ninjago – Back in June, LEGO Community Coordinator Kevin Hinkle reported that LEGO Ninjago will be discontinued in 2013. The sets listed below might be some the last sets that you can buy from this popular theme. We’re not sure if there will be any more Ninjago sets after these.

LEGO Legends of Chima – In June, LEGO registered a couple of trademarks called LEGO Legends of Chima and Speedorz. This news set the LEGO community into a frenzy. This theme has been rumored to be the one to replace the discontinuing LEGO Ninjago theme in 2013. There have been pictures floating around the web of what Legends of Chima look like:

a series called Chima (imagine Animal heads like Cats, Lions, alligators, Eagles, Dogs, but with cool scars and minifig bodies, and they have Ripcords instead of Spinners.

The LEGO Group has released details of the LEGO Town Hall Modular Building. It will have 2766 pieces and have a retail price of $199.99. More details after the break.

LEGO Mini Modulars (10230) Available For Sale Online

LEGO has announced that the Mini Modular (10230)iconbuildings are available for sale online. The only catch is that you must be a LEGO VIP member to purchase it. The set is a smaller, scaled down version of the their original counterparts and contains 1356 pieces and retails for $79.99. The five buildings included are the Grand Emporium, Café Corner, Market Street, Green Grocer, Fire Brigade. Like the original ones, the Mini Modulars are able to be connected to each other. The completed model measures over 5″ tall, 12″ long and 2.5″ wide. Each individual building measures 2.5″ long and 2.5″ wide. Below is a video what the set looks like.
