The set features a vintage style camera that has a film strip showing stills from 20 Disney movies which includes scenes from Steamboat Willie, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, Fantasia, Dumbo, Bambi, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty, The Sword in the Stone, The Jungle Book, Robin Hood, The Rescuers, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Mulan, The Princess and the Frog, Frozen, and Encanto. It also has minifigures of Walt Disney, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Bambi, and Dumbo.

In less than a day, the LEGO Disney 100 Years Celebration (40600) gift with purchase set has sold out on the LEGO Shop here in North America. In fact, it lasted less than 12 hours after it went live 24 hours ago. I’m also hearing that LEGO Stores didn’t get much in stock either so that makes the set rather rare. As a result, the price of the set on the secondary market is starting to slowly reflect that as prices are heading up to $70 on it.

It’s not really that surprising since LEGO released two new popular Disney sets that qualified for it including the Disney Hocus Pocus – The Sanderson Sisters’ Cottage (21341) and the Disney Castle (43222) with the former already in backorder status shipping in 60 days. We’re not sure if LEGO has more of the Disney 100 Years Celebration for a future release since they tend to re-release them again months later.
