LEGO October 2021 Shopping Guide

October is nearly upon us and there are a ton of new LEGO sets that will be releasing tonight on the LEGO Shop. In addition, there are also a lot of promotions going on for the month as well. Usually there’s Double VIP points in October but it’s not listed on the store calendar so you’ll have to plan out your purchases in case they do have it. You’ll also have to plan if a set is popular and go out of stock before double points.

October 1-31: LEGO Friends Flower Cart (30413) with purchases of $40 or more on LEGO Creator 3-in-1, DOTS, or Friends products, while supplies last.

October 1-24: Free LEGO City Ocean Diver (30370) with purchases of $40 or more on LEGO City, Ninjago, or Super Mario products, while supplies last.

October 18-24: Free Rebuildable Flying Car (5006890) with purchases of $120 or more, while supplies last. For VIPs only.

October 25 – November 7: Free LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Gryffindor Dorms (40452) with purchases of $100 in LEGO Harry Potter, while supplies last.

October 25 – November 7: Free LEGO Harry Potter Hermione’s Study Desk (30392) with purchases of $40, in-store only, while supplies last.

LEGO Mini Disney Castle (40478) Pricing and Release Date Revealed

The LEGO Shop now has a product listing for the LEGO Mini Disney Castle (40478). Releasing on October 1, the set has 567 pieces and will retail for $34.99. The set features Cinderella’s Castle from Walt Disney World in Florida and it also includes a minifigure of Mickey on a tuxedo.

LEGO Mini Disney Castle (40478) Revealed by LEGO Mexico

LEGO Mexico has revealed the upcoming LEGO Mini Disney Castle (40478) over on their Instagram page. There’s still no details on how to get it but it is a microscale version of The Disney Castle (71040) that includes a Mickey Mouse minifigure wearing a tuxedo. It is assumed that it’ll be available starting in October but that hasn’t been confirmed yet.

LEGO Mini Disney Castle (40478) First Look

The LEGO Decaration of Conformity has revealed a new LEGO Disney set with the Mini Disney Castle (40478). The 567 piece set features a microscale version of The Disney Castle (71040) along with a minifigure of Mickey Mouse in a tuxedo. There’s no word on the release date but I’m guessing it might be available in October.

LEGO Sets Reportedly Retiring at End of 2021

It’s about that time of the year when various media outlets get information about LEGO sets that will be retiring at the end of the year. StoneWars has given an extensive list on what has gone out of stock in Germany and what sets we can expect to leave store shelves soon in other parts of the world. LEGO Disney Mickey Mouse’s Propeller Plane (10772) Amazon Sale – August 2021

Amazon is now selling the LEGO Disney Mickey Mouse’s Propeller Plane (10772) for $6.99 which is 30% off the regular price. It matches Walmart on the sale for this just-released set that isn’t even a month old. This could be the new standard price for it and you get an exclusive Mickey Mouse minifigure.

LEGO Disney Train and Station (71044) Retiring Soon

If you’ve been holding off on the LEGO Disney Train and Station (71044), you may want to pick it up soon. Rumors were swirling that it would be retired by the end of 2021 and it looks like it has already happened in various parts of the world. I’m not sure when it happened but it has already been listed as a retired product in Belgium, Germany, and Luxemburg.

The set was released in August 2019 so it had the standard two year run although it seemed way longer than that. Even though it is not listed as a retiring product, take this as an early warning that it will be soon. Thanks to Jari for the heads up.
