LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Release Date Reportedly to be October 20

Earlier this week, TT Games and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment revealed a new key art for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. A few days after, Star Wars released a this week’s recap video and they also talked about the game. According to Reddit, they had to reupload the video due to them reportedly revealing the release date of the game on accident. The new video doesn’t show the date to be October 20 which has been clipped out but many fans noticed it.

In a recent interview, Lucasfilm Games managing producer Craig Derrick says there will be about 500 Star Wars characters in the game with a lot of them being playable ones. There’s not much more details about the game that were revealed in terms of gameplay. I’m guessing the details are being held off until video game announcement season later this summer. As we know by now, E3 has been cancelled as well as San Diego Comic Con so any new gameplay hopefully will be shown online at their discretion since we know absolutely nothing about it even after a year after being announced and if the game is to be released in October, we’ll most likely see more of it by then.

New LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Key Art Revealed

It’s Star Wars Day and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment along with TT Games has shared a new piece of key art for the upcoming LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. There’s no details on when the game will be released but the blurb does say more details will be coming this summer. E3 has already been cancelled but companies may very well do their reveals online so that could also happen with LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

Encapsulating the game’s epic blend of the three Star Wars trilogies, the key art includes some of the greatest heroes and villains seen throughout the Skywalker saga. Players can fight against the forces of evil as favorite characters such as Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Rey, Finn, BB-8 and a legion of other heroes, or turn to the dark side as Darth Vader, Kylo Ren, and more.

Thrilling locales also serve as a backdrop to the action-packed key art as players can engage in some of the films’ most legendary battles. From the landmark start to the Clone Wars in the Battle of Geonosis to manning an Alliance snowspeeder at the Battle of Hoth to take on the Imperial’s treacherous ground forces, generations of Star Wars lore and fandom will collide in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

More information on LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will come this summer.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment Announces New TT Games Studio Head

This is not LEGO news directly but Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced Michael Denny as the Vice President and Studio Head of TT Games. He will be oversee strategy, execution and business operations for all TT Games offices and its portfolio of titles, including the best-selling LEGO videogame franchise. He will also introduce a new vision for the company which should be good news.

Maybe with this new appointment, Denny will bring new ideas to the table including new ideas to the already popular LEGO video games. After playing through the last few, they do get somewhat repetitive but the stories for them are top notch.

As we all know by now, the LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga video is their next big project and we basically haven’t heard of any new information since June and there hasn’t even been a release date announced for it. It is supposedly coming out this year but with the whole pandemic situation, I won’t be surprised if it gets delayed.

LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed Available for Download

Yesterday I reported that LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed would be launching this Thursday, February 27 but it looks like Gameloft has pushed the game to the live servers a little early. You can now download the game early but only in certain countries at this time. I expect other countries will get it on the official launch date.

After trying it out, it seems like it is your typical turn-based game where you can level and upgrade your characters but now you can do it in LEGO form. I’ll continue trying it out for the next few days and let you guys know if it is worth your time.

LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed Release Date Announced for February 27

Gameloft has announced the release date for their upcoming LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed game will be this Thursday, February 27. There has been very little news and videos for this game which makes me worried that it might not live up to their expectations. LEGO Legacy is supposed to be a turn-based RPG with LEGO minifigures as your characters in which you can level up to gain more abilities. There’s still some time left to pre-register to get some in-game welcome gifts when the game officially launches later this week.

LEGO Nintendo Switch Steelbook Coming to Best Buy

The past few days I’ve been sent messages regarding a new exclusive LEGO Nintendo Switch steelbook that is supposed to be available at Best Buy. I don’t have any concrete details but people have been saying that you can get it for free with a purchase of two LEGO Nintendo Switch games. I’ve also heard that it might be sold separately as well for $19.99. I didn’t see anything about the promotion in the weekly ad so I can’t say for sure when it will be available so it’s up to you to check if your store has it or not.
