First Official Image of LEGO Jurassic World

LEGO Jurassic World

Jurassic Bricks (Hoth Bricks subsidy) has found the first official image of the LEGO Jurassic World sets from a LEGO catalog. From what the image shows, there are four dinosaurs represented: Tyrannosaurus Rex, Pteranodon and two different colored Velociraptors. We can also see the Owen (Chris Pratt) and Dr. Henry Wu (B.D. Wong) minifigures as well as two unidentified characters. Also some keen-eyed readers noticed that Wu is holding a piece of amber which is a moonstone piece from the LEGO Monster Fighter line.

As for the setting, this could be one of the six new sets that will be released in the line. The image also notes the sets will be released in June when the movie premieres in the US on June 12th. Also note that the dinosaurs depicted are the same ones that were leaked on TaoBao a few months ago.

LEGO Jurassic World Teaser in LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham Credits

After 14 hours of actual time playing LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, I’ve finally finished the story mode for it. During the credits, there was a cool little surprise waiting for you. In the image above, you can see a Tyrannosaurus Rex showing up with the Jurassic Park theme song.

As we know by now, LEGO will be producing official Jurassic World sets next year. We also reported that there’s possibility a Jurassic Park/World video game also coming out next year so the scene in the credits of LEGO Batman 3 could be a teaser of what’s to come.

Stay tuned as we’ll be trying to 100% complete the game in the next few days and bringing you some helpful guides shortly after that.

Jurassic Park/Jurassic World Projects Now Allowed on LEGO Ideas

Earlier this month, Universal announced that The LEGO Group will be one of the licensing partners for the upcoming Jurassic World movie. As a result, LEGO has resolved their licensing conflicts with Jurassic Park/Jurassic World. Earlier this year, LEGO Ideas did the same with Doctor Who which resulted in an abundance of Doctor Who projects including two that achieved 10,000 supporters.

If you remember from last year, all the Jurassic Park related projects were removed including the one from Senteosan after only 6,495 supporters. This was because Hasbro/Kre-O signed on to produce construction sets for Jurassic World but that contract has since expired and The LEGO Group now owns the rights to produce the sets.

As of a few days ago, people are now allowed again to post Jurassic Park/World projects on LEGO Ideas but whether or not they are able to pass the review stage and become an official set remains to be seen.

LEGO Jurassic World Sets Officially Announced by Universal

In a press release (PDF) yesterday by Universal, they have officially announced the licensing partners for Jurassic World and as we already know, The LEGO Group will be one of the partners. There are five sets that are rumored to be in the wave and they will be available in May 2015.

We first heard of the LEGO Jurassic World sets when Chris Pratt, who plays the park keeper Owen, said that he has already seen the look of his LEGO minifigure in an interview. This will be Pratt’s third character to be a LEGO minifigure in two years with Emmet from The LEGO Movie and Star Lord from Guardians of the Galaxy being the first two.

Universal has been very tight-lipped on any leaked information for Jurassic World, including that video of the trailer, so we probably won’t be seeing any images of the LEGO sets any time soon. There’s a chance that we could hear/see something during the 2015 London Toy Fair in January or the New York Toy Fair in February. Stay tuned for more details of the LEGO Jurassic World sets as they become available.

Universal Partnerships & Licensing (UP&L) today announced that The LEGO Group will create original LEGO®products in conjunction with the release of Jurassic World, the long-awaited next installment in Steven Spielberg’s groundbreaking film series that will be released on June 12, 2015. The LEGO Group’s participation rounds out an overall branded toy campaign designed to bring the action, adventure and excitement of the film to audiences around

LEGO Jurassic World Video Game in the Works?

According to JurassicWorld.org, in addition to the LEGO Jurassic World sets that we reported on last week, there are also plans for a LEGO Jurassic World video game possibly by popular LEGO game publisher TT Games. There’s no other details at this time but we can assume that the game will follow the storyline of the film much like in The LEGO Movie video game. It would be really cool if all four movies in the Jurassic Park franchise would get the LEGO treatment but we’ll see what happens.

As we all know, TT Games has made a number of great LEGO video games in the past as well as the upcoming LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham so adding another one to the list isn’t too far-fetched. More details about this as they become available.

LEGO Jurassic World Sets Confirmed

Earlier this month, we reported that there may be some LEGO Jurassic World sets coming out in 2015. This was from an interview that Chris Pratt did with The Empire Film Podcast in which he mentioned that he has seen the look of his character, Owen, in minifigure form.

Hulk_Smash on Eurobricks has seen some preliminary images of some of the 2015 LEGO sets and in those images, there will indeed be some LEGO Jurassic World sets. They did not mention how many sets will be in the wave or the details of them but at least there is now confirmation that there will be some sets in conjunction with the upcoming movie.

For those who will mention that Hasbro/KRE-O has the licence to produce building sets, it has also been reported that their license has expired or will be expiring soon.
