The LEGO Amelia Earhart Tribute (40450) promotion starts in a few days but we get to have a quick early look at the set. It has 203 pieces and you can get it from March 6-14 for free with purchases of $100 or more, while supplies last. Stuffed inside the box include five numbered bags, a couple of loose pieces, the instruction booklet, and a small sticker sheet.

There are now official images of the LEGO Amelia Earhart Tribute (40450) gift with purchase set coming out of an Australian LEGO Certified Store. If you didn’t see the March 2021 LEGO Store Calendar, you will be able to get it for free with purchases of $100 or more from March 6-14, while supplies last. There’s no piece count listed but it does feature the red Lockheed 5B Vega Amelia Earhart used to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean.

New LEGO Storage Box Coming from Room Copenhagen

If you’re looking for an additional storage solution for your LEGO bricks, Room Copenhagen will soon be rolling out a new storage bin to their line. The LEGO Storage Box Large (4094) is in a translucent black color complete with a branded lid. The dimensions of it are 378 x 297 x 235 mm / 14.7 x 11.6 x 9.2 in and it can fill 19 liters. There’s no word yet on the release date.

The LEGO® Storage Box large is ideal for storage of LEGO bricks or larger toys. The translucent bottom makes it possible to identify the content and the box is easy for kids to handle. Stack several boxes to optimize the floor storage space.

LEGO Amelia Earhart Tribute (40450) First Look

In a sponsored Facebook ad from South African LEGO Certified Store, Yellow Brick Company, we got our first look at the LEGO Amelia Earhart Tribute (40450) set. It features the red Lockheed 5B Vega which she used to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean in 1932. The ad shows that you have to spend R2500 or more on any LEGO product to get it. There’s no word yet on when it will be available here in the US. We’ll just have to wait until the LEGO Store Calendars to come out to confirm its availability.

LEGO Pirates Logo Collectible Coin Available in Rewards Center

The LEGO Pirates Logo Collectible Coin is now available on the LEGO Rewards Center. This is the second coin that has been released and it costs 1,150 VIP points. If you’re collecting these coins, the display case is still available for 750 points as well as the previous Castle Coin for 1,150. If you’re wondering, they are metal and come shipped in a screwdown case.

LEGO Personalised Mosaic Portrait (40179) Available on LEGO Shop

A few years ago, LEGO introduced the Mosaic Maker at flagship LEGO stores in which you can take a picture and you can get to build a portrait of yourself. Since the COVID-19 pandemic is still not contained, LEGO is now offering the service, in a way, on the LEGO Shop. There is now a product listing for the Personalised Mosaic Portrait (40179) for $129.99 and you can upload an image to the tool to get the parts for the image shipped straight to your house. There are some limitations to what image you can use which is stated in the terms of service. The price is $129.99 and as of this post, it qualifies you for a LEGO City promo. Of course, this item may not be relevant to you but it does make a great gift item. Thanks to Akindu for the heads up.

LEGO x adidas ZX 8000 Color Pack Revealed

Back in September of last year, LEGO did a collaboration with adidas to release the limited edition ZX 8000 shoe which not many people were able to get a hold of. Some time later this year, LEGO and adidas will release a new Color Pack for the ZX 8000s which will include a number of different colors such as Gray, Yellow, Green, Blue, Red, and Black. The style will be similar to before but the main colors will be more dominant. The price will be at $130 and it will be available at adidas.com. Will you be picking these ZX 8000s up now that they don’t have wild colors all over it like with the limited edition one?
