LEGO Mixels Calling All Mixels App

With the recent release of Series 2 of the LEGO Mixels, the Calling All Mixels app has also gone a major update to include the newest Mixels to the lineup. There are also new lands for you to explore and objectives to complete. If you already have the app downloaded, you can just update it to get the latest content. If you don’t have the game yet, it is $3.99 on Google Play and $1.99 on iTunes.

  • Unlock 9 new Mixels from three new tribes, each with powerful new abilities! Check out the chilly Frosticons, the sharp-toothed Fang Gang and the stretchable Flexers!
  • The new tribes also come with a whole bunch of new mixes and Maxes with incredible new powers.
  • We added three new lands with new objectives and challenges.
  • We added new quests with valuable rewards.
  • There are a ton of new unlockable Extras, including Mixels videos, building instructions and inspirations.
  • Now it’s easier to track the Mixels you have. A new user interface lets you quickly see how many Mixels you’ve rescued, and how many are still trapped.
  • You can watch Mixels videos right inside the app. Just tap the “Video” button to pull in and watch any of the Mixels shorts.
  • Now you can scan any game codes you get instead of entering them manually. Just take a pic of the game code to register them inside the app.

LEGO Architecture The Visual Guide

Coming off our report of the new LEGO Star Wars: The Dark Side book from DK Publishing, the DK Fall 2014 Trade Catalog is now available and there are some other notable LEGO DK books that will be coming out this fall. One of these new books is the LEGO Architecture: The Visual Guide. This book contains a whopping 232 pages of information about all the LEGO Architecture sets and the real life buildings that inspired them. Read more about the book below. This looks to be a very nice coffee table book to have and I’m very excited for this one. The Visual Guide is available for pre-order on Amazon and will be available on August 18th.

LEGO Mixels Series 2 Official Images

We’ve already seen images of the characters of Series 2 of the LEGO Mixels at the 2014 New York Toy Fair but Amazon Japan now has the official images of the characters from this wave. There are images of these characters in the back of the current instruction booklets but we now get to see clearer images of them.

Series 2 features three new tribes: the Frosticons (blue), the Fang Gang (brown), and the Flexers (orange). The Frosticons hail from the frozen crystalline shells of dead volcanoes and consists of Slumbo (41509), Lunk (41510), and Flurr (41511).

The Fang Gang live on a farm where they grow food to satisfy their massive appetites. This tribe has Chomly (41512), Gobba (41513), and Jawg (41514).

Finally, the Flexers live in the Rubberlands, defending their land from the Nixels. The three members of this tribe includes Kraw (41515), Tentro (41516), and Balk (41517).

These wildly popular figures will be available in June and will go for $4.99 each.

LEGO Mixels Mix Max Murp Instructions

For you LEGO Mixels fans, you already know that you can mix and match pieces to create new Mixel character. LEGO has provided a number of instructions for you to create a Mix, Max, or Murp character. If you combine certain Mixels together, you will get a Mix and one character will have more control than the other. If you combine all three characters from a single tribe, you can create a Max. If you combine Mixels that have no synergy with each other, you will get a Murp. This new Mixel will have a unique personality and cannot be controlled. Check out all the characters that you can create on the minisite. Keep in mind that not all the characters listed have instructions but you can get a feel on how to create your own.

There are now some more Series 2 and Series 3 images and details of the very popular LEGO Mixels characters courtesy of Figures.com. The Series 2 tribes consist of the Frosticons (blue): Slumbo (41509) Lunk (41510) Flurr (41511), the Fang Gang (brown): Chomly (41512) Gobba (41513) Jawg (41514), and the Flexers (orange): Kraw (41515) Tentro (41516) Balk (41516). The Series 2 Mixels will be available in June.

Series 3 of the Mixels consist of the Glorp Corp (green): Glomp (41518) Glurt (41519) Torts (41520), the Spikels (tan): Footi (41521) Scorpi (41522) Hoogi (41523), and the Wiztastics (purple): Mesmo (41524) Magnifo (41525) Wizwuz (41526). Series 3 will be available in September.

The Glorp Corp is a gooey tribe of thrill-seekers and swamp-dwellers.

Spikels are a fun-loving tribe.

The Wiztastics tribe is a traveling magic troupe known for putting on spectacular shows.

Spieletest.at has attended the 2014 Nuremberg Toy Fair and they have gotten images of the LEGO Mixels Series 2 and 3 sets. With the help of Brickset, we also know the names of these new characters. Series 1 will be available at LEGO Shop@Home in a few weeks any may have already shown up at Toys R Us stores early.

LEGO Mixels Displayed at Nuremberg Toy Fair 2014

Promobricks is back with another report from the 2014 Nuremberg Toy Fair. This time, they are reporting the whole series of LEGO Mixels were displayed at the event. We can only see Series 1 and only a couple of figures from Series 2 and 3. According to the official press release, Mixels will make their US debut on February 6th and premiere on the Cartoon Network on February 12th. The sets will be available in stores on March 1st.
