LEGO has revealed the 2023 wave of LEGO Monkie Kid sets on the LEGO Shop. The sets continue with the Journey to the West storyline with more vehicles and another location.

The product page for the new LEGO Monkie Kid Monkey King Ultra Mech (80045) is now live on the LEGO Shop. Releasing on January 1, the set has 1,705 pieces and will retail for $159.99. Along with the mech, the set also has a slew of new minifigures including the original version of Tang which is based on Tang Sanzang.

Get kids aged 10 and up excited about classic legends with this brick-built LEGO® Monkie Kid™ Monkey King Ultra Mech (80045). LEGO Updates Retiring Soon List – November 2022

LEGO has updated their Retiring Soon list again and there are a lot more sets that have been added that will be going away at the end of the year. This is the from the UK list as of today so LEGO Shop US may not show these sets as retiring yet but they will be. I’m sure there will be even more LEGO sets added to this list in the next few weeks so I’ll try it keep it more updated. Some sets may already show that they are sold out so you may have to find another retailer that has them in stock.

Some of the sets have been around for a few years now while some have a shorter life span. Overseas has a couple more sets listed than in North America so I would go with that just to be safe.
