LEGO Monkie Kid Spring 2021 Sets Revealed

A few days, LEGO Japan teased the reveal of the Spring 2021 LEGO Monkie Kid sets and it looks like a Taiwanese retailer has beat them to the punch by posting product listings and official images of the sets. There are seven sets in the wave which includes Monkie Kid’s Team Dronecopter (80023) which we’ve already seen already. We’ll have our review of the sets coming later this month so stay tuned for those posts.

LEGO Monkie Kid Spring 2021 Set Reveals Coming Soon

LEGO Japan has posted a teaser of the upcoming spring 2021 wave of LEGO Monkie Kid sets. We already know about one of them with the Monkie Kid’s Team Dronecopter (80023) and there are some set names for a few of them with Red Son’s Inferno Jet (80019), White Dragon Horse Jet (80020), and Spider Queen’s Arachnoid Base (80021) but we don’t know what they look like at this time. The sets should be available starting on March 1 so the reveal of them shouldn’t been too long from now.

The translated tweet says, “In the spring of 2021, a new legend begins. Stay tuned for future announcements!”

LEGO Monkie Kid’s Team Dronecopter (80023) Revealed

The LEGO Monkie Kid theme will be continuing this spring with more sets and LEGO has revealed the first one with the Monkie Kid’s Team Dronecopter (80023). It has 1,462 pieces and will retail for $149.99. The set will include a large Dronecopter along with some cargo containers which have hidden play features. This will be one of the first sets that will include Mr. Tang as a LEGO minifigure as well.

Children can become heroes in their own epic stories and wow their friends with Monkie Kid’s Team Dronecopter. This LEGO® Monkie Kid™ helicopter toy (80023) features 2 spring-loaded shooters and 2 detachable ‘cargo containers’ with lots of homely features inside, including bunk beds and a buildable arcade machine. The playset includes 8 minifigures and 2 figures, including Monkie Kid, Mei, Sandy, Mo the cat, Spider Queen, Mr. Tang with a Journey to the West book element and Red Son with a flyer, plus a spring-loaded ‘spider poison’ shooter for battle action.

LEGO Monkie Kid Red Son’s Inferno Truck (80011) Review

It’s been a while but continuing on my reviews of the initial wave of LEGO Monkie Kid sets, I have Red Son’s Inferno Truck (80011). It has 1,111 pieces and retails for $119.99. The contents of the box include eight number bags, a bag of wheels, and the instructions along with the sticker sheet.

LEGO Celebrates Chinese Culture with Four New Sets for 2021

LEGO at the 3rd China International Import Exhibition has revealed four new sets for 2021 celebrating Chinese culture including a few that marks the Year of the Ox. These four sets are in a variety of themes including the LEGO Chinese Traditional Festival, LEGO DUPLO, as well as LEGO Monkie Kid. The Chinese Festival sets will be available on January 1 in the China and Asia Pacific markets and on January 10 for the rest of the world. The LEGO DUPLO set will be available globally on January 1. The LEGO Monkie Kid set will be available on March 1 along with six more sets in the theme. Check out the press release and images of the sets below.

LEGO Monkie Kid Iron Bull Tank (80007) Other Double VIP Point Set

Earlier today, I talked about the LEGO October 2020 double VIP point set which is the LEGO Technic Concrete Mixer Truck (42112). It was curious since the offers page only showed one set but apparently there is a second one which is the LEGO Monkie Kid Iron Bull Tank (80007). That set retails for $49.99 and you can get 650 VIP points for it. Thanks for everyone for the heads up.
