LEGO Ninjago Microgame Contest on LEGO Ideas

LEGO has officially announced the new LEGO Ideas contest which is for the LEGO Ninjago Microgame. LEGO will be putting in arcade cabinets in LEGO Brand Stores and it will feature fan-made LEGO Ninjago games in them for others to enjoy. There are three different categories that you can enter in and everything is in the press release below.

For our next LEGO Ideas contest “LEGO NINJAGO + One-Button Digital Game using the LEGO® Microgame” we are putting some arcade cabinets into our LEGO retail stores and would love to showcase your own game creations on them.

Both Unity and the LEGO Group have been hard at work improving the tools from the submissions and feedback from the last LEGO Ideas competition to help make it easier and more fun to make a game, and most importantly easier to share the fun you have made with others. There is an arcade cabinet in LEGO House at the moment, and we will be announcing some of the other global locations shortly. We have also been working closely with the LEGO NINJAGO team to help develop a library of resources and inspirations to spark your imagination. LEGO Ninjago Unity Microgame Announcement on September 29

A few days ago, LEGO teased something on social media about a LEGO Microgame that involves LEGO Ninjago. As you may or may not know, LEGO has partnered up with Unity to create LEGO Microgames which allows ordinary people to make unique, playable games. This teaser shows the ninjas along with Master Wu with something exciting coming this Wednesday, September 29.

LEGO Ninjago 2022 Rumored Sets

LEGO Ninjago will be continuing in 2022 and there’s already a rumored list of sets coming out of Promobricks. The most interesting one to me is the Ultra Combo Ninja Mech that gives me a Power Rangers feel with the ninjas’ mechs combined to make a large one. The smaller sets seem to sound like remakes of previous versions. Keep in mind, these aren’t confirmed until LEGO announces them or they show up at verified retailers.

LEGO Sets Reportedly Retiring at End of 2021

It’s about that time of the year when various media outlets get information about LEGO sets that will be retiring at the end of the year. StoneWars has given an extensive list on what has gone out of stock in Germany and what sets we can expect to leave store shelves soon in other parts of the world. You can do various activities at the park digitally as part of their augmented reality adventure. There is also Ninjago-inspired rides, food, and more most likely inside LEGO Ninjago World which opened at the park a few years ago.

New August 2021 LEGO Sets Now Available on LEGO Shop

It’s finally August and that means that LEGO has released a ton of new sets for purchase on the LEGO Shop. This includes some of the sets that had delayed releases as compared to other parts of the world. There are some larger sets for AFOLs including the UCS Republic Gunship (75309) and the Volkswagen T2 Camper Van (10279). Also dropping for VIPs from August 1-3 is the LEGO Ideas Sailboat Adventure (40487) which you can get with purchases of $200 or more, while supplies last. The general public can get in the deal from Augusts 4-29.

Some other promotions that you can get include the LEGO Classic Masters’ Book of Secrets (5006978) with Classic purchases of $60 or more and the LEGO Marvel Shang-Chi and the Great Protector (30454) polybag with Marvel purchases of $40 or more.

LEGO August 2021 Sets to be Released Tonight

Tonight at midnight EST, LEGO is set to drop the summer 2021 sets on the LEGO Shop. If you don’t know what will be coming out, below is a list of everything that should be available for purchase. For the US, there are more new sets than the rest of the world since we had a delayed release for a few themes.
