LEGO Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin Video Game Box Art Revealed

LEGO Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin

Last year, we reported on announcement of the latest LEGO video game for the PlayStation Vita and the Nintendo 3DS, LEGO Ninjago Shadow of Ronin. The box art of the game is now available on Amazon and you can also pre-order the game there as well. Both versions of the game will be available on June 30 for $29.99.

There is a new threat in Ninjago, and his name is Ronin. With help from his army of dark samurai, Ronin steals the Ninjas’ memories using an ancient weapon called the Obsidian Glaive. The Ninjas forget how to use their elemental powers, and it is up to the players to help them find their Obsidian weapons, regain their memories and reclaim their powers before Ronin completes his plan and releases an even greater evil on Ninjago.

In LEGO Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin players will battle through iconic locales from the TV series, including the Ice Temple, the Toxic Bogs, and a mysterious new island, as well as visit the mountain village of Spinjago, where the Ninjas are currently training with Grand Sensei Dareth and Sensei Wu. Using their Spinjitzu abilities, players can unleash their Ninja’s elemental power to smash their way through enemies and solve puzzles. They can even team up and create multi-elemental builds using the Tornado of Creation.

LEGO Minifigure Box Set (5004076) Review

Today we are taking a look at a little interesting product that popped up online last year as a Target exclusive. This is the LEGO Minifigure Box Set (5004076) which consists of four different minifigures from different LEGO themes. This little set was part of a Target promotion where you could get it free with a purchase of $50 or you could have just purchased the set outright for $15.

The first thing we can take a look of on the LEGO Minifigures Box Set is the packaging itself. It comes in a fairly small box with clear windows to show each of the minifigures included the set. The printing of each side of the cube corresponds to what type of theme the minifigure is in as well their accessories. Speaking of accessories, they are in the middle of the box in a plastic bag. The inside packaging also has the same background image as the outer minus the banners and accessories shown on the outside box.

Green Ninja Lloyd

The first minifigure in the LEGO Minifigures Box Set (5004076) is the LEGO Ninjago Lloyd Green Ninja in his Dragon Xtreme (DX) robe. What’s interesting about this new version of Lloyd is that he became the Green Ninja after the other ninjas already had their DX robes a year before. Like with all the DX outfits, you have the Dragon printing on the front of the torso and leg. On the back of his torso, you have some more printing of the Dragon head as well … Continue

LEGO 2015 (30xxx) Polybag Round-Up

LEGO Customer Services has updated their database and a lot of the instructions for the 2015 sets and also included were all this year’s polybags that will be available. Instead of doing separate posts for all of them, here’s a round-up of what you can expect to hit stores later this year. Some of them have already shown up at retailers as well as LEGO promos but I’ll add them here since they are part of the 2015 LEGO polybag lineup. Note: These are only polybags with set 30xxx and does not include promotional minifigure polybags or ones that have set number 4xxxx.

LEGO Ninjago Dareth vs. Nindroid Polybag (5002144) Review

Recently there have been many Toys R Us exclusive polybags showing up at Toys R Us and the latest one we’ll be reviewing is the LEGO Ninjago Dareth vs. Nindroid (5002144). We first saw this polybag way back in September when it showed up at TRU UK.

The main draw of the polybag is the Dareth “Brown Ninja” minifigure that is included. He is in his brown gi which also has printing of his star chain necklace. The back of the torso has a gold star printing. His legs are also the same brown color with some gold printing. He also has the cool brown swept back hair. His accessory is one of his fake trophies that he used to boast his ego in the TV series.

The other minifigure in the set is one of the Nindroid Warrior minifigures. There’s nothing too special about the Nindroid as it has the same printing thoughout the 2014 wave. Its accessory is a sai.

Overall although the 5002144 polybag doesn’t have much substance, it is currently the only way to get the Dareth Brown Ninja minifigure which is nice since you don’t have to purchase a set to get him. Dareth vs. Nindroid is currently available for $4.99 at Toys R Us stores as well as on their website with free shipping for a limited time.

LEGO Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin Video Game Announced

LEGO Ninjago Shadow of Ronin

To celebrate International Ninja Day, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games, and LEGO has announced their latest game for the PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS, LEGO Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin which will be released in Spring 2015.

“LEGO Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin will be the most expansive adventure game through the Ninjago universe that we have ever made to-date,” said Tom Stone, Managing Director, TT Games. “Kids will get a kick out of playing as their favorite Ninja warriors battling a new enemy with an exciting array of cool vehicles, mechs and even dragons!”
