LEGO Ninjago: Rebooted: Battle for New Ninjago City Season Three Part One

Victory in the Final Battle between the Gold Ninja and the Overlord has ushered in a new era of peace and begun a technological renaissance. Time has passed and the Ninja have become obsolete in this new hi-tech world. Just when they think all is safe in Ninjago, they’re called back into action when the reclusive inventor Cyrus Borg warns them the Overlord has survived as a digital virus and is trapped within the Digiverse. The Ninja will learn the Overlord seeks to steal Lloyd’s golden power to enable him to escape his digital prison and reign as the great prophesized destructor, “The Golden Master.”

And to aid his villainous plot, he’s created a new technological menace more powerful than any foe the Ninja have ever faced – Nindroids.

Episode 27: The Surge

LEGO Ninjago: The Visual Dictionary Minifigure Revealed

A few months ago, we reported that there will be some new books from Dorling Kindersley and one of these books is the LEGO Ninjago: The Visual Dictionary. Like with many LEGO DK books, there will be an exclusive minifigure included with the book. Unfortunately with this book, there will not be any new exclusive minifigures but one that is already out in a set. As you can see below, the limited edition minifigure that is included is Zane Rebooted which is already in the Destructoid (70726) set.

With DK, we usually see minifigures that we haven’t seen before like Emperor Palpatine in LEGO Star Wars: The Dark Side and Luke Skywalker in LEGO Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary: Updated and Expanded, even though we’ve seen him before but he has updated printing. But with Zane, he’s the exact same one that was in a set so it’s sort of a head-scratcher as to why this minifigure was chosen. I would’ve been happy with even the Brown Ninja.

The LEGO Ninjago: The Visual Dictionary is set to be released on September 15th but you can pre-order the book now on Amazon.

LEGO Ninjago Movie Has Release Date of September 23, 2016

As we mentioned before back in February, there were reports of a LEGO Ninjago movie by Warner Bros. that could be hitting theaters. According to Variety, the movie has a release date of September 23, 2016. Dan Lin and Roy Lee will join Phil Lord and Christopher Miller as producers for the new Ninjago movie and Charlie Bean will be directing it. It’s still to early to know what the movie will be about but it will probably have the same type of action/adventure style the popular cartoon series currently has.

In addition, the Ninjago movie will hit theaters before the sequel to The LEGO Movie, who has a release date of May 26, 2017. By adding another movie from the LEGO Universe, this could prove to be pivotal in strengthening the relationship between The LEGO Group and Warner Bros. which means the whole franchise will stay with the movie studio. The LEGO Movie opened on February 7th and has grossed $460 million worldwide with $254 million coming domestically.
