New LEGO Club Magazine Ninjago Rebooted Image

Ninjago Rebooted Poster

Delta 38 over on Eurobricks has posted an image of a new LEGO Ninjago Rebooted poster which came from the Australian LEGO Club Magazine. It also states “Coming This Summer” which probably means that the animated cartoon TV series will be back sometime in December since it will be summer then in Australia. (Thanks to J-Lu in comments for clarification.) The image features all of the Ninjas fighting the Nindroids and also gives us a clue about one of the upcoming sets. In the middle of the image, you can see what appears to be the Nindroid MechDragon (70725). To the left of it is the Kai Fighter (70721) and to the right of the MechDragon is a mysterious aircraft. My guess is that is could be the Hover Hunter (70720) but there’s speculation that it is the NinjaCopter (70724). I’m gonna stick with the Hover Hunter since it doesn’t look like a Copter at all. Overall, I really dig the artwork and am totally looking forward to the Nindroid MechDragon set.

LEGO Ninjago Lloyd Minifigure (70722) on eBay

LEGO Ninjago 2014 Lloyd Minifigure (70722)

It looks like the new LEGO Ninjago Lloyd minifigure has showed up on eBay. We first saw an image of him last week when images of the OverBorg Attack (70722) showed up online. As you can see, the new Lloyd minifigure is wearing a new design for his robes and is also wearing a green scarf. Instead of the ninja hoods, the 2014 Ninjago characters will have their own hairpieces. If you want to purchase it, you have less than one hour to bid on it.

Update: Bidding has ended and ending price was $13.75 with 17 bids.

LEGO Ninjago 2014 Official Partial Set Images

LEGO Ninjago Kai Fighter (70721)

LEGO Ninjago is officially back! In our third straight day of reporting Ninjago 2014 news, The Brick News has posted a couple of the official images of some of the sets which came from K-Mart of all sites. There are also descriptions which lists the minifigures including General Cryptor that we first reported a couple of days ago. What’s interesting to notice here too is that that the Kai, Lloyd, and Jay all have hair pieces instead of their hooded masks although if you look closely, the hoods still cover up half their faces. Also, you can see on the top right corner of the boxes of what Zane looks like. On the back of the OverBorg Attack box, you can get a clearer picture of him in his half Nindroid form. Now we just have to wait a little longer for the rest of the sets to show up.

Kai Fighter (70721) – $19.99

Put the heat on General Cryptor and grab the Techno-Blade with Kai Fighter with 2 flick missiles, jet engines and speed mode wings.

Kai has taken over a civilian vehicle and used his Techno-Blade to turn it into an awesome red and gold Ninja Fighter! Take off and weave between the skyscrapers of New Ninjago City with Kai in the cockpit. Shoot the gold-tipped flick missiles into the path of the evil General Cryptor and evade blasts from his ground-to-air laser rocket launcher. Defeat General Cryptor then flip the wings back to engage speed mode and zoom away. Includes 2 minifigures

LEGO Ninjago 2014 – Rebooted

LEGO Ninjago 2014

The Official LEGO Ninjago Facebook Page has posted the above image of a new LEGO Ninjago poster with the words “REBOOTED” on top and an image of a cyborg ninja minifigure which we think is General Cryptor from yesterday’s post. On the bottom of the poster are the numbers “01001110 01001001 01001110 01000100 01010010 01001111 01001001 01000100”. For all of you who do not speak binary, the letters spell out “Nindroid”.

It looks like that LEGO is beginning to ramp up their promotion for the 2014 LEGO Ninjago sets. The word “rebooted” may also be a play on words because it looks like LEGO is deciding to go in a different direction than what we’ve seen before with Ninjago with the Nindroids. Below is a list of what we believe to be the list of sets for next year’s release:

70720 – Air Breaks (Hover Hunter)
70721 – Kai fighter (Fighter Kai)
70722 – OverBorg attack (OverBorg Attack)
70723 – Thunder offensive (Thunder Raider)
70724 – NinjaCopter (NinjaCopter)
70725 – Nindroid mechanical dragon (Nindroid MechDragon)
70726 – Destroyers (Destructoid)

Update: We now have some images from a few of the sets. Check them out here.

LEGO Ninjago 2014 Cyborg Ninja Minifigure

LEGO Ninjago 2014 Cryptor

Eurobricks user Mesonak has just posted a link to eBay of a picture of what appears to be a new cyborg ninja minifigure for the LEGO Ninjago 2014 sets. The minifigure is named General Cryptor and the listing has it coming from two sets from the 2014 line: 70721 – Kai fighter (Fighter Kai) and 70724 – NinjaCopter (NinjaCopter). Back in May, we posted a rumored list of the 2014 Ninjago sets and it looks like they are true.

As an eBay Affiliate, I earn from qualifying purchases.

General Cryptor is a mostly black minifigure with electronics in front and back of the torso. The armor piece also shows some more robotic features and holds a katana sword. The mask also has a cybernetic eye device over the left eye. The head piece itself also has a lot of cybernetic printing as well.

70720 – Air Breaks (Hover Hunter)
70721 – Kai fighter (Fighter Kai)
70722 – OverBorg attack (OverBorg Attack)
70723 – Thunder offensive (Thunder Raider)
70724 – NinjaCopter (NinjaCopter)
70725 – Nindroid mechanical dragon (Nindroid MechDragon)
70726 – Destroyers (Destructoid)

Update: The final price for the auction went for $53.50 with 19 bids on General Cryptor.

Update 2: We now have some images from a few of the sets. Check them out here.

LEGO Ninjago Heading to Movie Theaters

ComingSoon.net is reporting that there will be a LEGO Ninjago movie from Warner Brothers heading to movie theaters in the near future. Ninjago is one of LEGO’s most successful themes and now, it will get a full-length feature. Brothers Dan and Kevin Hageman will be writing the screenplay for the upcoming movie. They’ve also worked on The LEGO Movie which will be in theaters next February. The brothers also were the writers for the original Ninjago animated series on Cartoon Network. There’s not much information yet about the movie or the release date although it was mentioned that the storyline will go in a different direction from the animated series and will feature both Chinese and Japanese myths. Given that the movie will be a change of direction, will there be all new characters in the movie? We will see. If so, we’ll also get to see if there will be new Ninjago sets to tie in to the movie.
