LEGO March 2024 Sets Now Available on LEGO Shop

March is now here and there is a plethora of new LEGO sets that have just released on the LEGO Shop. The big theme for March is LEGO Animal Crossing which was one of the more popular announcements last year. Also anticipated to be pretty popular are the new LEGO Star Wars sets with the new midi-scale ships.

For the gift with purchase sets, we have the LEGO Flower Store (40680) with purchases of $200 or more and it runs until March 11 or while supplies last. There’s also a LEGO Friends Beach Clean-up (30635) + LEGO Animal Crossing Maple’s Pumpkin Garden (30662) polybag bundle with purchases of $50 in Animal Crossing, City, Creator 3-in-1, DREAMZzz, or Friends.

For LEGO Insiders, the new LEGO Ninjago Micro Ninjago City (40703) is now available to redeem in the Rewards Center. It’ll cost you 2,700 Insider points and remember there will be four sets in total so it’ll cost you a whopping 10,800 points for the series. Fortunately, it’s less than what China has to spend on them but it still equates to over $1,600 spent to acquire enough points.

LEGO March 2024 Shopping Guide

March is just around the corner and it will be a pretty big month in terms of LEGO releases as it is the third largest of the year. As of right now, there are about 50 new items on the LEGO Shop that will be available from pretty much a majority of the LEGO themes including the highly anticipated Animal Crossing.

As for any gift with purchase sets go, LEGO hasn’t officially announced anything yet although we’ve seen plenty of GWP items such as the Flower Shop (40680) and the LEGO Ninjago Micro Ninjago City (40703) although they haven’t said when they will be released. We’ll just have to wait until the end of this month to see what will be dropping overseas first to see what we’ll be getting.

LEGO Confirms Ninjago and Legends of Chima Are Connected

LEGO over on YouTube has been doing teasers for LEGO Ninjago: Dragons Rising Season 2 and their latest one finally confirms one of the character’s origin to LEGO Legends of Chima. Lord Ras and Jordana are trekking through the Wyldness and while talking, Ras mentions that the Forever Rock is one of the regions of his land. Fans of Chima know that the Forever Rock was the place where Laval and Cragger used to play as kids while marking their game wins on the rock.

Fans have been wondering if the two themes were related and there have been questions asked during the SDCC Ninjago panels if Chima was part of Ninjago or if Ras was from Chima and it looks like we can confirm that they are canon. LEGO has done a good job with the storyline of the merged realms which allows them more flexibility to connect Ninjago to other themes. We’ve already seen that done already with LEGO DREAMZzz last year.

LEGO Ninjago Micro Ninjago City (40703) GWP Official Images

The official product page for the LEGO Ninjago Micro Ninjago City (40703) is now up on the LEGO Shop. It has 339 pieces and it is listed as a gift with purchase set so it looks like it’ll be different from China where it’ll cost Insider points to get.

Since the set is now up on the LEGO Shop, it probably means that it’ll be released pretty soon. There’s no mentioning on what the price requirements are but I’m assuming it’ll be about the same or maybe lower as the Houses of the World sets from last year which required $250 purchases each.

Ninja fans aged 10 and up can now build their own micro model of NINJAGO® City with this fun and detailed playset. Micro NINJAGO City (40703) is a downsized version of the bigger NINJAGO City (70620) building set and features a bustling 5-story city block with teahouses and a rooftop sushi bar. The micro city can also be connected to 3 other micro sets (sold separately) to complete a small NINJAGO City.

LEGO Ninjago Micro Sets Looks to be Insider Rewards

Earlier today, we got a first look at the LEGO Ninjago Micro Ninjago City (40703) but the real question is how to get it. Well according to LEGO China Weibo, it’ll actually be a LEGO Insiders reward which will cost 6,500 points to redeem it. Every quarter in 2024, LEGO will drop a new set in January, April, July, and October and it’ll cost 6,500 each. Yes, you read that right. I believe this will be one of the more expensive items that have been released in the Rewards Center, next to the LEGO DC Batpod (5004590) which cost 15,000 points when it first launched.

As a reference, $1 equals 6.5 points so that means you’ll need to spend $1,000 each quarter to get it or $4,000 in 2024 to get the set of four builds. To be honest, you can actually get all four full sized sets at their current prices, even secondary prices for the retired ones, and still have a 37% of the money left over. For sure, these micro sets will command a high secondary price once they sell out, if they sell out.

Ninjago City (70620) – Retired ~$950
Ninjago City Docks (70657) – Retired ~$850
Ninjago City Gardens (71741) – $350
Ninjago City Markets (71799) – $370
