I’ll keep updating as more images come in.

Updates: FBTB has images of The LEGO Batman Movie The Ultimate Batmobile (70917) as well as the other summer 2017 Batman Movie sets.

Brickset has a lot of clear box art images that The Brick Show has sent over.

LEGO Speed Champions Ford GT 2016 & Ford 1966 GT40 (75881)

LEGO has released a press release regarding the 2017 wave of LEGO Speed Champions sets. The set that is referenced is the 2016 Ford GT & 1966 Ford GT40 (75881).

NOVEMBER 29, 2016

Designed to Inspire Tomorrow’s Racing Drivers, Engineers and Designers – Ford’s Le Mans Victories in LEGO® Bricks

• Ford race cars that won 1966 and 2016 Le Mans 24 Hours will be available as part of the exclusive LEGO® Speed Champions range of models

• New kit brings to life iconic Ford GT40 and today’s Ford GT race car. Minifigures, chequered flag and trophy will help to bring famous victories to life again and again

• Designing the exclusive kit was a “dream project” for LEGO design lead Craig Callum, a former car designer who races Fords in his spare time

COLOGNE, Germany, Nov. 29, 2016 – It’s a gift 50 years in the making that could set your child on the path to becoming a racing legend. The iconic Ford GT40 and new Ford GT that won Le Mans 24 Hours in 1966 and 2016 are being brought to life in LEGO® bricks.

The new LEGO Speed Champions set will include both cars as well as racing driver minifigures, a chequered flag and even a trophy to make it easy to recreate those history-making victories.

“Many people in my team grew up with the legend of Ford’s history-making 1966 victory – and experienced the excitement of building and design for the first time through LEGO bricks,” said Dave Pericak, global director, Ford

LEGO Speed Champions Winter 2017 Rumored Sets

When the list of rumored LEGO 2017 sets came out last month, one theme that was missing for the initial wave was LEGO Speed Champions. A few days after that, the rumored sets for Speed Champion was indeed released which you can see below.

Mercedes-AMG GT3 (75877)
Bugatti Chiron (75878)
Scuderia Ferrari SF16-H (75879)
Mercedes Pit Stop (75880)
2016 Ford GT & 1966 Ford GT40 (75881)
Ferrari FXX K & Development Center (75882)
Formula 1 Mercedes AMG Petronas (75883)

As you can see, there’s a new car manufacturer with Bugatti and the Chiron should be interesting to see. Technically, Bugatti isn’t a new license as Volkwagen now owns it. Some existing manufacturers are also returning for 2017 with Mercedes, Ferrari, and Ford. After seeing this list of the winter 2017 LEGO Speed Champions sets, which ones are you looking forward to picking up?

LEGO Speed Champions Winner’s Podium Building Instructions

LEGO Speed Champions Winner's Podium

For those who miss out on the LEGO Speed Champions Toys R Us building event last week, I’ve been sent over scans of the instructions for the Winner’s Podium set. All of the parts are pretty common except for the printed checkered flags which have only been released in a few sets so you may have to find a substitution. Thanks to Bob for the scans.

LEGO Speed Champions Toys R Us Building Event on June 18

LEGO Speed Champions Toys R Us June 18 Building Event

Toys R Us has updated their in-store events page and on Saturday, June 18 from 11am-1pm, there will be a LEGO building event. For this one, it will be a LEGO Speed Champions Winner’s Circle Podium build which features a small podium with a trophy. Also pictured in the foreground are a couple of minifigures but they probably won’t be included so don’t get your hopes up on that.

The event is free and is intended for children but if you get lucky, older participants are sometimes allowed too. Make sure you get there early as these LEGO Toys R Us building events usually have long lines unless you live in a small city.

**Note: This is for Toys R Us USA.**
