It’s been fairly quiet the past couple of days but today we have the official box images of the new 2015 LEGO Speed Champions sets. We’ve already seen the sets in another post from a few months back but we also like the see the boxes as well so here they are courtesy of German toy retailer Spielwaren-Bludau. The LEGO Speed Champions sets will be available in stores and on Shop@Home in March 2015. Thanks to Joseph for emailing in.

As we all know by now, there will be a new theme coming in 2015 called LEGO Speed Champions. Today, The LEGO Group has officially announced their partnership with the different automobile manufacturers that will be part of the theme: Ferrari, McLaren Mercedes, and Porsche. The sets will be available in stores and on Shop@Home starting in March 2015.

There is also a teaser site up for LEGO Speed Champions where you can see some of the close up details of the sets. Unfortunately, the detailing on the sets will be stickers as we already mentioned before. Check out the official press release below:

LEGO built icons – new LEGO car product line available from spring 2015

Beginning from March 2015, builders of all ages, with fuel in their veins, can now create the speeding-bullet cars at home. The LEGO Group has now announced its partnership with the three automobile manufacturers Ferrari, McLaren and Porsche resulting in a new, high-speed product line for building the most favourite cars from LEGO bricks: the LEGO Speed Champions. An adrenaline kick and the thrill of speed are included.

Seven different LEGO sets will be available from spring 2015, ensuring lots of racing action and squealing tyres in the children’s room. A large red Ferrari truck drives up – together with the Ferrari F14 T Racing car. What’s more, a McLaren Mercedes pit stop set will also be available, featuring the McLaren Mercedes MP4-29 as well as the home stretch with lights function and two Porsche cars – the

Just2Good continues to make LEGO fans happy by revealing images of the 2015 LEGO sets. In this latest video, he has shown us the new LEGO Speed Champions sets that will be coming out in 2015. It looks like LEGO has teamed up with some top Supercar manufacturers such as Ferrari, McLaren (Mercedes), and Porsche to produce some pretty cool looking vehicles. Note that each set also includes at least one minifigure that has printed emblems of the respective cars on their torso.

Last year, we reported that LEGO may be coming out with some sets based on the popular TV show, Top Gear. Although, these new sets doesn’t have the Top Gear label, there are a few vehicles that the hosts have driven before on the show.

There are no images of the box art for the 2015 LEGO Speed Champions sets at this time but we’ll have them up once they are available.

Just2Good on Eurobricks has found that BrickShop.nl now has a logo for the new LEGO Speed Champions theme that will be released in 2015. For a while, we thought that there would be a Top Gear theme but it looks like there won’t be. Just2Good also mentions that he thinks there could be a Top Gear app that will go along with the sets. We’ll see if that happens or not since LEGO has been moving towards the digital world recently. Below are the sets that have been rumored to come out next year.
