LEGO Star Wars Sandcrawler (75059)

Late last year, I reported on some rumors for the summer 2018 wave of LEGO Star Wars sets and it looks like they have been confirmed by Promobricks. Is the LEGO Black VIP Card Promotion Continuing?

LEGO Black VIP Card

The last time I’ve talked about the LEGO Black VIP card was a few weeks ago where I stated that a new batch of cards are being created due to a glitch in the system and now, there’s a new revelation about how to acquire the card. The original deadline to get the card was December 31, 2017 so technically you can’t get it anymore even if you have purchased the set this year but that could be changing according some information that I’ve received.

A reader named Tim purchased the UCS Falcon this past weekend at a New York LEGO Brand Store and the manager there told him that LEGO would be continuing the Black VIP card promotion that ended last year. Tim was then told to verify his LEGO VIP address because he’ll also be getting it as well even though the deadline has passed.

I’m not sure if this is just an isolated incident or if LEGO is actually continuing the Black VIP card promotion. I would suggest asking LEGO customer service before making your purchase to see if they are actually continuing it since the webpage about it still has the old information. Even if you’ve made a purchase of the Falcon this year, it wouldn’t hurt to ask customer service to see what’s going on.

Let us know in the comments below if you’ve had the same situation and also have been told that the Black VIP card promotion would be continuing.

LEGO Star Wars Ahch-To Island Training (75200) Designer Video

In something slightly unusual for LEGO to do, they have recently released a designer video for the LEGO Star Wars Ahch-To Island Training (75200). This is different because it is not a direct-to-consumer set that usually does it for but just a simple set that you get purchase at any retailer. The video also goes back to the old style where the designer, César, talks more about the set itself and its play features. This is something that fans have missed on the newer designer videos. Hopefully, LEGO continues to do designer videos for these smaller sets like this in the future. I’ve recently done a review of this set if you want to check it out as well.

LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures Season 2

It has been revealed today that Season Two of LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures will be on home media on March 13. The DVD will include all 12 episodes as well as 5 bonus shorts. For you pin collectors, there is also an exclusive LEGO Darth Vader pin to go along with it as well. You can now pre-order the DVD on Amazon for $18 and you’ll receive it on release date.

At the end of the first season, the Freemaker family found a new home with the rebel fleet. Their new circumstances bring them face to face with brutal Imperial forces, desperate Hutts, conniving Sith Lords, and the Emperor’s latest plaything, M-OC, a terrifying hunter droid who continually modifies himself to fit any occasion. In response to these threats, Rowan’s powers grow and strengthen until he has a vision of a sleek, invulnerable ship that can save the Rebellion and stop the Empire in its tracks — the Arrowhead. The catch is, the Arrowhead is a ship only Rowan can build. Once again, it’s up to the youngest Freemaker to save the galaxy.
