LEGO Star Wars R3-M2 (40268) Polybag Review

LEGO Star Wars R3-M2 (40268)

Way back in January, it was revealed that there was a new LEGO Star Wars polybag with R3-M2 (40268). It had a little stand with a backing that is different from your standard minifigure polybags. There was little to no detail on its availability except for it showing up at LEGOLAND California back in March and a recently showing up at Toys R Us.

I was able to purchase it for $5.99 online before the page was taken down. It was also reported that they can be found in store but they do have a street date of August 26. You may get lucky and be able to purchase it but there’s a high chance that you won’t be able to purchase until then.

Minifigure

R3-M2 is a very obscure astromech droid that has only appeared shortly in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The body has your typical LEGO droid pattern with the main notable differences being the large bold stripes as well as the brown and tan coloring. The back of the torso and both legs have no printing at all however according to the one in The Disney Collection 2016 Droid Factory 4-Pack, R3-M2 is supposed to have a brown stripe going down the back. The dome is trans-black with a silver ring at the base with some brown panels throughout.

LEGO Releases Image of Mystery Instruction Booklet

LEGO Teaser #2

A short while ago, LEGO released another teaser which could be for the supposed LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192). For this one, they’ve shown off a mystery instruction booklet and says that this one is 2.56 times bigger than one for the the 196 page LEGO Creator Carousel (10257). This continues the trend of releasing a teaser every Tuesday up until the official reveal of this mystery set. Stay tuned next week for another reveal if this pattern keeps up.

LEGO Star Wars: The Last Jedi D23 Character Posters

LEGO Star Wars: The Last Jedi General Leia

At D23 2017, Disney released some new character posters for Star Wars: The Last Jedi and these posters are now recreated in LEGO form. Shared by LEGO on their social media accounts, the posters feature the main characters in the movie including General Leia, Kylo Ren, Poe Dameron, Rey, Luke Skywalker, and Finn in the crimson red color scheme. There’s no word if these posters will be available as physical ones given out as a GWP but it’ll be cool if they were. I would totally add them to my wall.

All you have to do is to enter their building contest but this is not any ordinary contest. Blocks has some strict guidelines which you can see in the press release below. If you’re building minifigure scale, you have to own both the Han Solo and Greedo minifigures. The deadline for submissions is midnight on September 1, 2017 (GMT).
