Hottest Set in 2020 Available at Barnes & Noble

One of the hottest sets of 2020 so far is the LEGO Star Wars Mandalorian Battle Pack (75267) with the hype of The Mandalorian series on Disney+. It is currently backordered on Shop@Home but orders are still accepted and will ship in 30 days but pretty much every retailer out there is out of stock. Luckily, Barnes & Noble still has it in stock and is available for shipping or free local pickup at your nearest location if they have any in stores. If your still looking for it, I suggest getting it there since we don’t know when it will be restocked at other retailers.

It’s a brand new month and that means that LEGO Shop@Home is offering Double VIP Points on a couple of sets. First is the LEGO City Police Station (60246) where you can get 1,300 points on it. The other set is the LEGO Star Wars Sith TIE Fighter (75272) and you will be able to get 1,040 points for it. Both sets are new for 2020 and it’s a random selection that LEGO chose for the Double VIP Points sets this month.

Last Weekend for LEGO Star Wars Miniland at LEGOLAND California

IMG_8260

Just a heads up if you’re in the southern California area this weekend. Monday is the last day to see the LEGO Star Wars Miniland area at LEGOLAND California so this is the last weekend that they will have it on display.

The 1:20 scale LEGO Star Wars Miniland has been on display at the park for the past eight years and they have been expanding it by adding scenes from the Star Wars Saga with the last one being from The Force Awakens.

There’s no word on what will be replacing LEGO Star Wars Miniland but it will surely be missed as it is one of the more popular attractions at the park. LEGOLAND California curiously has been removing traces of Star Wars with them cancelling Star Wars Days and now this.

LEGO Star Wars Poe Dameron’s X-wing Fighter (30386) Polybag Review

LEGO Star Wars Poe Dameron's X-wing Fighter (30386)

For my very first review of 2020, I have a rather small polybag that I found a few days ago at Walmart alongside the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Captain Marvel and Nick Fury (30453) polybag which is the LEGO Star Wars Poe Dameron’s X-wing Fighter (30386). It contains 72 pieces and it also retails for $4.97 which is a price increase from previous years’ polybags.

New LEGO 2020 Sets Available at LEGOLAND California

If you’re heading to LEGOLAND California soon, I’ve been told that they have already started selling some 2020 LEGO sets. A couple of items I’ve been told that are on store shelves early are the LEGO Star Wars Mandalorian Battle Pack (75267) and the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Captain Marvel and Nick Fury (30453) polybag.

The Mandalorian Battle Pack will be available elsewhere starting on January 1 while the details of the Captain Marvel polybag are still unknown. Thanks to Darryl C for the heads up.

LEGO Star Wars Christmas X-Wing (4002019) Videos

Now that the LEGO Star Wars Christmas X-Wing (4002019) employee gift is no longer a secret, LEGO has released a few videos for it. These videos include LEGO Star Wars Creative Director Jens Kronvold Frederiksen talking about the history of LEGO Star Wars and Designer Joseph Patrick Kyde doing a short designer video for the X-Wing. The other videos show LEGO Owner Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen and Chairman Jorgen Vig Knudstorp playing with it with some commentary. Kristiansen also talks about LEGO Star Wars being the first licensed theme and releasing the first sets back in 1999. These videos are pretty rare as LEGO doesn’t do much of these kinds but it’s nice to see them taking time to film them and releasing them for fans.
