LEGO Star Wars 20th Anniversary – Minifigure Prototypes

LEGO is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the LEGO Star Wars theme and along with some of the assets that were sent to us, there are things that we normally wouldn’t publicly see. Here we get to see some of the prototypes that were used to create the molds for some of the heads and bodies for some of the creatures in the Star Wars Universe.

LEGO Star Wars Celebrates 20th Anniversary

Today LEGO is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the LEGO Star Wars theme. It started off in 1999 coinciding with the release of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace in theaters and it spawned one of the most popular LEGO themes in the company’s history. Check out the press release that LEGO sent over to commemorate the event along with some facts and trivia about the theme. Also, there are some behind the scenes things for LEGO Star Wars that we would like to showcase in the next few days so stay tuned for that as well.

LEGO Star Wars Imperial Dropship – 20th Anniversary Edition (75262) Review

Continuing with my reviews of the LEGO Star Wars 20th Anniversary Edition sets, the next one I’ll be checking out is the Imperial Dropship (75262). It has 125 pieces and retails for $19.99 and from what I’ve heard, it is one of the more anticipated sets of this wave simply because it is an army building set. It is a recreation of the 7667 version of the same name from 2008.

It is on sale of 20% off which makes the price go down to $23.99. This set could be considered a larger “Battle Pack” so any discount on these type of sets is good if you’re thinking about building an army especially the variety that this set provides. In addition, you also get the exclusive 20th Anniversary Darth Vader minifigure as well.

LEGO Star Wars Darth Vader Bust (75227) Building Instructions

If you’re wanting to get your hands on the LEGO Star Wars Celebration 2019 Darth Vader Bust (75227) that is coming out next week as a Target REDcard exclusive, you be happy to know that LEGO has released the building instructions early for the set. The set has 327 pieces and will retail for $39.99 at the convention and at Target with limited availability. I’m not sure if it will be available in stores as the recent Target exclusives have only been available online but I’ll let you guys know.
