The LEGO Movie/Guardians of the Galaxy Mash-Up is Awesome!

Everything is awesome in The LEGO Movie. The new Guardians of the Galaxy trailer was also awesome. What happens if you combine the two? Infinitely times more awesome! This is what MTV has done. They have combined scenes from The LEGO Movie with the sounds of the GotG trailer and they fit perfectly. Chris Pratt, who voiced Emmet, is also one of the stars in the new Marvel movie.

The LEGO Movie is about to pass $200 million at the box office and Guardians of the Galaxy will hit theaters on August 1. Check out the mash-up video below and the official GotG trailer underneath that.

LEGO Green Lantern Minifigure Coming Soon?

There’s been much talk over the interwebs over the past day of one of the pictures our good friend Joe Meno, editor of BrickJournal, took while attending the 2014 American International Toy Fair. This picture is of a Green Lantern LED Lites and is speculation that a minifigure version of him may be coming out in a future set or polybag. This version of the highly sought character is the same as in the LEGO Batman 2 DC Super Heroes Video Game and is different from the one that was given away at the 2011 San Diego Comic Con

There have been rumors that we would probably see a Green Lantern this year but nothing legitimate has come out as of this time. On another note about the LED Lites, all of the other characters that are shown in the image all have minifigure equivalents now that the Flash is out so that might add to the speculation.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Sets at 2014 New York Toy Fair

Toyark is at the 2014 American International Toy Fair at New York City and they have images of the new LEGO Marvel Super Heroes X-Men vs. The Sentinel (76022). The set contains 336 pieces and includes four minifigures: Wolverine, Storm, Cyclops, and Magneto.

In other LEGO Marvel news, the Guardians of the Galaxy sets were not allowed to be photographed but there are some details about them.

Milano Spaceship Rescue. Includes 5 minifigures: Star Lord with removable mask, Gamora, Drax, Ronan, and the Searcher.

Starblaster Showdown – Includes 2 small ships and 3 minifigures: Star Lord, Searcher, and Nova Officer.

Knowwhere Escape Mission – Includes 4 minifigures: a brick-built Groot, Rocket Raccoon, Nebula, and, a Searcher. Set includes a tower and a wheeled claw vehicle for Rocket Raccoon.

More Images of LEGO Marvel Super Heroes The Milano Spaceship Rescue (76021)

USA Today has posted some official images of one of the new LEGO Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy sets, The Milano Spaceship Rescue (76021). The set will have 665 pieces and retails for $74.99. The set features the Murano as well as the smaller Milano and includes five minifigures: Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax the Destroyer, Ronon the Accuser, and a Sakaaran Soldier. The set will be displayed at the 2014 New York Toy Fair so we’ll surely see more images then.

LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes The Batman Tumbler (30300) Found at Target

One of our fellow readers has found one of the new 2014 LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes polybags, The Batman Tumbler (30300), at Target stores. They were at stocked at the impulse check-out lanes for $3.99 each. We’ve reported that this polybag was found last month at a LEGOLAND Discovery Center but I believe this is the first time that we’ve seen these polybags in US stores. LEGO Guardians of the Galaxy The Milano Spaceship Rescue (76021) Image

We now have an image of one of the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Guardians of the Galaxy sets courtesy of promobricks at the 2014 Nuremberg Toy Fair. The set seen on the bottom right corner of the image is called The Milano Spaceship Rescue (76021). The set shows Star Lord flying and rescuing the Milano while Gamora is piloting the Ship.

In other LEGO Marvel news, you can see the back of the Astonishing X-Men costume version of Cyclops from this summer’s X-Men set.
