LEGO Marvel Advent Calendar Rumored for 2021

LEGO news has been pretty quiet the last few days but there’s a new rumor of a potential a LEGO Marvel Advent Calendar being added to the lineup this year. The structure will probably be the same as in the other Advent Calendars with the 24 different gifts with exclusive minifigures randomly put in.

If this true, it will be the third licensed theme for the Advent Calendars joining Star Wars and Harry Potter. It will also be a great year for Marvel fans as there’s also a LEGO Marvel Collectible Minifigures series rumored to be coming in 2021 as well.

Now that we’ve hit the new year, it’s time to take a look at some of the LEGO rumors for later on this year. Promobricks is reporting of a new rumor of a LEGO Marvel Collectible Minifigures series that has been listed on the Spanish shop libreriatilos.es that will be out in August. Fans have been wanting a Marvel version of the series since licensed minifigures became more frequent with the Simpsons, Harry Potter, and DC all having at least one wave. We can all speculate which characters will be included but we’ll probably see some of the usual ones in a variant outfit. If this rumor is true, which Marvel characters do you want to see in a LEGO Collectible Minifigure series?

LEGO Marvel Eternals US Pricing Revealed

LEGO Marvel Eternals

The new LEGO January 2021 catalog should be arriving in mailboxes here in the US and the very back of it shows off the new LEGO Marvel Eternals sets. We finally have the US pricing for them and they’re about average for your typical Marvel set. There are four sets shown off and they include:

Deviant Ambush! (76154) – 197 pieces/$24.99
In Arishem’s Shadow (76155) – 493 pieces/$59.99
Rise of the Domo (76156) – 1,040 pieces/$89.99
Eternals’ Aerial Assault (76145) – 133 pieces/$9.99

Unless you know Marvel lore, the Eternals are quite unknown at this time. They will be part of Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will no doubt be a bigger part of what will be going on after Endgame.

Deviant Ambush (76154)

Thena, Gilgamesh and Makkari are under attack from a 6-legged, biting Deviant! The 3 Eternals have amazing powers – Thena can summon weapons, Gilgamesh has super-strength and Makkari runs faster than the speed of sound. Will they overcome the evil Deviant? Only you can decide. Plus…if you collect The Eternals LEGO minifigures this awesome playset is the only one to feature Gilgamesh.

In Arishem’s Shadow

When Sersi, Ikaris, Kingo, and Ajak take on an evil Deviant, anything can happen! Sersi transforms matter into…anything, Ikaris has superhuman strength, Kingo fires energy and Ajak communicates with Celetials. Arishem, the Celestials’ leader, may even join the battle with a stud shooter in each hand. If you collect LEGO minifigures, this awesome set is the only one to feature Ajak and Kingo.

LEGO Wonder Woman vs Cheetah (76157) Amazon Sale – December 2020

Wonder Woman 1984 came out a few days ago and reviews on it have been pretty brutal so far however you can get a decent deal on LEGO Wonder Woman vs Cheetah (76157) set. It has been on sale on Amazon for a few weeks now for 20% off and I’ve been hearing that Walmart stores have it on further discount. Obviously, the sale isn’t in response to the movie bomb but more that it’s about that time that it’ll be on constant sale from now on, especially on Amazon.

LEGO Batman 1989 Batmobile (76139) Roof Change Reasoning

A few weeks ago, we reported that the LEGO Batman 1989 Batmobile (76139) was given new parts for the cockpit roof and LEGO has given an explanation why they changed it. The reasoning is as obvious as you think which is the 6×6 tile has a matte finish to it along with an injection point in the middle. Since there is now a the new 2×6 tile, LEGO decided to update the Batmobile with the new parts, three of them to be exact. LEGO suggests to hold off on requesting the new parts until February or March but I’ve already suggested contacting customer service about it which many of you have already done. The Batmobile is still out of stock on the LEGO Shop but it is available on Amazon with shipping still arriving before Christmas.

As everyone has speculated, the change was done due to the creation of the new 2×6 tile. The 6×6 tile has a non polished surface and with the creation of this new 2×6 tile element the project team decided to update the current model to make this iconic car look even greater 🙂

If you would like the new roof I would recommend holding off requesting until February or March. This request is done with understanding that many kids lose parts or having missing parts from their Christmas presents.

You can report the elements “missing” on LEGO.com, hopefully in a few months :), and the parts will be on their way.

LEGO Marvel Attack on the Spider Lair (76175) Official Images

One of the more LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2021 sets that I’m really excited for is the Attack on the Spider Lair (76175). It has 466 pieces and retails for $69.99 but it won’t be out here in the US until March 1. One of the more interesting things about the set is that it includes a number of Spider-Men from the Spider-Verse including regular Spider-Man, Peter Parker, Iron Spider, and Ultimate Spider-Man, aka Big Time Spider-Man.

If you look really close, there’s also some Easter Eggs in the set at the monitors where it is showing the Bombastic Bag-Man Suit on the left monitor where Peter Parker uses a spare Fantastic Four costume. The right monitor shows someone playing a Spider-Man game, possibly the one from Insomniac on the PlayStation 4. The PS4-style controller nearby could be a clue.

Could LEGO have something in the works with Sony or is this just something the designers threw in while using some creative liberties. The Bombastic Bag-Man suit is also a big thing considering we don’t have any official Fantastic Four characters as LEGO minifigures. This could mean that we may get them in the future considering that the team is back with Marvel after Disney bought out 20th Century Fox. Of course this is just speculation but this is a very interesting teaser that fans may have missed.
