Marvel’s Eternals Teaser Trailer Gives Glimpse of LEGO Tie-In Sets

LEGO Marvel Eternals

This morning, Marvel dropped the official teaser trailer for the Eternals movie and we get a first look at what the LEGO sets could be referencing. The Eternals isn’t your typical MCU movie as it focuses on an immortal alien race created by the Celetials who have secretly lived on Earth for over 7,000 years. The beginning of the trailer shows the triangular ship from the Rise of the Domo (76156) but that’s as much that was shown for the LEGO tie-in sets.

There are at least four sets that will be for the movie and we’ve already got details for them thanks to the January 2021 catalog. There’s still no word on when they will be available but it’ll be before or around the time the movie releases in theaters on November 5.

Deviant Ambush! (76154) – 197 pieces/$24.99
In Arishem’s Shadow (76155) – 493 pieces/$59.99
Rise of the Domo (76156) – 1,040 pieces/$89.99
Eternals’ Aerial Assault (76145) – 133 pieces/$9.99

LEGO Marvel 2021 Advent Calendar (76196) Rumored Characters

One new thing for 2021 is that LEGO will be doing a Marvel Advent Calendar (76196) which will be the first time for it. There are some rumored details coming from Instagram talking about some of the characters that we could be seeing in it. If you don’t want to be spoiled, I suggest skipping this post.

For the 2021 LEGO Marvel Advent Calendar, we’ll be seeing existing Marvel minifigures but with slight differences with them. It is reported that they are Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Thanos, Black Widow, Nick Fury, and Thor.

Spider-Man will be in this yellow jacket which is from Spider-Man: Homecoming. Iron Man will be in a Christmas sweater and will have the 2020 helmet and a separate hairpiece. Captain Marvel will be the version from the Avengers Helicarrier (76153) but without the helmet. Thanos will be the one from the Thanos Mech (76141) but he will be without leg printing or a helmet. Black Widow will be the one from the Avengers Tower Battle (76166). Nick Fury is said to also be the one from the Helicarrier set but he will have a beanie similar to his look from Avengers: Age of Ultron. Thor will also be the version from the Helicarrier but will the Infinity War hairpiece.

Note that quite a few of these minifigures are from more expensive sets so this will be a cheaper way to get them unless you just buy them separately on the secondary market. Along with the minifigures, we’ll also get a … Continue

LEGO Marvel Daily Bugle (76178) Originally Had List of 60 Minifigures

The LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Daily Bugle (76178) was announced a few days ago and with it comes a whopping 25 minifigures which is the most ever in a Marvel set. The designer of the set, Mark Stafford, recently did an AMA on Reddit and he revealed that the set originally started out with 60 minifigures but was whittled down to the current number. In addition, he also wanted the original Sinister Six but just couldn’t do it and a lot of minifigures actually were pushed to the regular sets first. Some of the characters that were omitted from the Daily Bugle include Deadpool, Human Torch, Iceman, and Spider Woman because Marvel was in charge of who they wanted to include. Unfortunately, Mark is not able to divulge the other minifigures that we wanted to put in the set but hopefully we’ll be able to see them in future sets.

Several. I had made a list around 60 long when I started!

I wanted the original Sinister Six, but we just couldn’t make it happen, we ran out of new figures we could make. In fact because it was so minifigure heavy a lot of figures from this set were pushed out into the standard retail line (they ended up coming out first).

TO give you a few names I wanted Deadpool, The Human Torch, Iceman, Spider Woman – all Spiderman’s buddy’s. But Marvel also have to agree and some of the decisions to include or not include figures were up to them and like I
