The LEGO Super Mario Adventures with Mario Starter Course (71360) sold out of their pre-orders on LEGO Shop@Home in a few hours but if you’re still looking for it, Zavvi also has it available with a free gift. Their gift is the Super Mushroom Surprise Expansion Set (30385) which isn’t as big as the Monty Mole & Super Mushroom Expansion Set (40414) and is just a polybag. Until LEGO puts up more pre-orders on Shop@Home, there are only a few other retailers that offer it including Walmart.

The set has 163 pieces and you can get it for free with a pre-order of the Adventures with Mario Starter Course (71360) on S@H which is now temporarily sold out. The set features Monty Mole along with Stone-Eye and a Super Mushroom which you can use to expand on the Starter Course. If you’re still looking to pre-order the Starter Course, Walmart still has it available.

LEGO has officially revealed details of the upcoming LEGO Super Mario theme. Available to pre-order today, the Starter Course retails for $59.99 and will be available on August 1. LEGO also announced two expansion sets with the Piranha Plant Power Slide Expansion Set for $29.99 and Bowser’s Castle Boss Battle Expansion Set for $99.99. It is called the Monty Mole & Super Mushroom Expansion Set (40414) and it has 163 pieces. It looks to be a free gift-with-purchase set judging by the set number. I’m going to assume you get it for free with a purchase of the Starter Course.

Fans can enjoy toppling Stone-Eye and launching Monty Mole while creating new challenges with this LEGO® Super Mario™ Monty Mole & Super Mushroom Expansion Set.

The Adventures with Mario Starter Course (71360), featuring the LEGO® Mario™ figure, is required for play with this Expansion Set.

It looks like Amazon Spain has posted the first official images of one of the upcoming LEGO Super Mario sets. Numbered 71360, it shows one of the sets that were already teased in the official announcement back in March. The product details show it with 231 pieces and it includes Mario, Goomba, and Bowser Jr..

Just like that, LEGO has revealed some sets and information about the upcoming LEGO Super Mario theme.

“Designers from both companies join forces to create a new physical play experience that brings Super Mario to life in the world of LEGO® bricks, launching later this year.

The LEGO Group announced a partnership with Nintendo that will change the way people interact with Super Mario in the physical world and engage in LEGO® experiences.

Both companies share a passion for innovation and play and their collaboration has led to a reimagination of the LEGO building experience, enabling an entirely new way to play inspired by the beloved video game icon, Super Mario.

Neither a video game nor a traditional LEGO brick-based set, LEGO® Super Mario™ is a new product line that features an interactive LEGO Mario figure who collects coins in real-life game levels created with LEGO bricks. The new line will let kids experience the playful world of Super Mario like never before. In some very unexpected news, LEGO has teased on social media they will be releasing LEGO Super Mario in the near future. In the video, it shows Mario in a weird minifigure form with a screen on his chest. Now that LEGO has the Nintendo license, maybe we can finally see some other franchises that fans have been waiting for like The Legend of Zelda and Pokémon.
