LEGO Wins Four September Toy of the Year 2023 Awards

The 2023 Toys of the Year Awards were handed out today and not surprisingly, LEGO came out a winner in a few categories. One of the non-toy related ones included the Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative of the Year which they won the bronze award for LEGO Replay. There was a also a tie for the Infant/Toddler category which they share the award with Mattel. Check out the winning categories below.

LEGO 2024 Set Names Revealed

Hold on to your butts because Dutch retailer Eldorado International has posted official names for over 100 LEGO sets for the first half of 2024. There are no images or details about the sets yet but they do confirm a lot of rumored sets such as Dune Ornithopter well as confirms the set numbers for the new LEGO Animal Crossing theme.

LEGO August 2023 Sets Live on LEGO Shop

August is now here and that brings new LEGO summer 2023 sets, themes, and more to the LEGO Shop and is one of the biggest shopping days of the year in North America. There are over 90 sets that have now been released to the public including ones for new themes like LEGO DREAMZzz, Gabby’s Dollhouse, and Sonic the Hedgehog. For us here in the US, we finally get the LEGO City which have been available in other countries for a few months now.

For the promotions, we still only have the LEGO Fun Creativity 12-in-1 (40593) so far with purchases of $80 and the Choose Your Gift (City/Friends) with purchases of $40. Both promotions will run until August 6. As for outside promotions, Rakuten has a 10% member appreciation promo which lasts until midnight PST as of this post.

LEGO has revealed a new Technic set coming in August with the Yamaha MT-10 SP (42159). The set has 1,478 pieces and retails for $239.99.

Authentic details
Each detail has been considered to make this model as faithful as possible to the real-life Yamaha. Features include a 4-cylinder engine, 3-speed transmission and a chain final drive with functional front and rear suspension. LEGO has put up the product page for the new LEGO Technic Liebherr Crawler Crane LR 13000 (42146) and we finally have the official details for the set. Releasing on August 1, the set has 2,883 pieces and will retail for a whopping $699.99. It stands oer 38 inches and it ranks among one of the tallest sets that LEGO has made. It does come with two smart hubs and six large motors to power the functions using the CONTROL+ app.
