LEGO Harry Potter Mini Hogwarts Express Barnes & Noble Building Event

LEGO Harry Potter Barnes & Noble Mini Hogwarts Express

Barnes & Noble has announced there will be a LEGO Harry Potter Mini Hogwarts Express build and take event at select stores this Saturday at 2pm local time. There will be limited quantaties and sign-ups may be required so there is a chance that there won’t be enough for walk-ups so call your local store to see if they are participating in the event. You can also check the events calendar at your nearest store to see if the LEGO Harry Potter event is listed.

LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle (71043) Store Pre-Orders in Canada

LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle (71043)

A few days ago, I reported that LEGO Stores here in the US were taking pre-orders for the upcoming LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle (71043) and now it looks like LEGO Stores in Canada are also doing the same thing as well. All you have to do is put down $40 and you’re guaranteed a set when it is released next month. I’m sure there will be some logistics for them to figure out such as having a separate line for pre-orders and those who didn’t when the store opens.

This LEGO pre-ordering system in-store seems like a new endeavor to help guage how the demand will be for a particular set. I wished it was implemented during the release of the UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) but I assume this was put in place because of what happened with the Falcon and I hope they keep doing it for big future releases. The Hogwarts Castle will be available on August 15 for VIP members and on September 1 for the general public.

Thanks to Jerry for the heads up.

LEGO Stores Taking Pre-Orders for LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle (71043)?

LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle (71043)

The LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle (71043) was just announced yesterday morning and it’ll be available on August 15 for VIP members and September 1 for the general public. I’ve been told by a source that LEGO Stores may be taking pre-orders for this set as there was a sign in the front stating “Ask us about how to Pre-Order our new Exclusive.” I was also told that the deposit for it was $39.99. I’m not sure if all LEGO Stores are doing pre-orders but it’s interesting to see LEGO trying something new for their exclusive sets as there will be a high demand for the Hogwarts Castle when it comes out in a few short weeks. I suggest contact your store to see if they are indeed taking pre-orders for it. I haven’t been down to my store yet to check but if someone did do it, let us know in the comments.

If you didn’t see the announcement post, Hogwarts Castle (71043) will become the second largest ever LEGO set coming in at 6,020 pieces and it will retail for $399.99. Head over to the link above to see the press release as well as a ton of images that LEGO has sent over.

LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle (71043) Revealed

In a complete surprise, LEGO has revealed the newest LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter set with the Hogwarts Castle (71043). LEGO failed to provide the official images or press release beforehand and I just received the files right before I had to go to work so I’ll upload the rest of the images later today. As expected, it is a microscale set that stays pretty true to the design of the castle.

LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter Harry’s Journey to Hogwarts (30407) Available at Target

LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter Harry's Journey to Hogwarts (30407)

Revealed last month, there will be a new LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter polybag coming out called Harry’s Journey to Hogwarts (30407). Supposedly, they are set to come out in August and there are a few reports that state Target stores have starting getting shipments of them in. So far, I’ve only seen a handful of images of people finding it so most stores may not have them in yet. The DPCI number for the polybag is 204-00-0291 but it is shared with other polybags so doing an inventory search for it isn’t helpful and the easiest way find them is to actually go to a Target location. The polybags are usually found at the checkout lanes and sometimes on the endcaps near the LEGO aisle. Happy hunting!

LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter Collectible Minifigures (71022) Reported Minifigure Breakdown

LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter Collectible Minifigures (71022)

The LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter Collectible Minifigures (71022) were revealed a few weeks ago and it looks like we finally have a box breakdown of the minifigures. According to CapnRex101 on the Brickset Forums, he has given a list of how many minifigures per box for each character and the results may surprise you.

Harry Potter:

3 – Harry Potter (Hogwarts Uniform)
3 – Hermione Granger
3 – Ron Weasley
3 – Draco Malfoy
3 – Neville Longbottom
3 – Cho Chang
3 – Dean Thomas
3 – Lord Voldemort
3 – Dobby
3 – Cedric Diggory
3 – Filius Flitwick
3 – Mad-Eye Moody
3 – Albus Dumbledore
2 – Luna Lovegood
2 – Sybil Trelawney
2 – Harry Potter (Invisibility Cloak)

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them:

3 – Newt Scamander
3 – Porpentina Goldstein
3 – Jacob Kowalski
3 – Queenie Goldstein
2 – Credence Barebone
1 – Percival Graves

As you can see above, it seems there are some fairly rare character minifigures like Luna Lovegood, Sybil Trelawney, Harry Potter with Invisibility Cloak, and Credence Barebone but the most surprising one is actually Percival Graves from Fantastic Beasts which only comes one per box. This basically gives you one complete set of Harry Potter LEGO minifigures per box which is a far shift from what fans thought was going to happen. There was a rumor that there would be three complete sets of Harry Potter characters and two of Fantastic Beast but it looks like that won’t be happening.… Continue

LEGO Harry Potter 20th Anniversary Target Event

LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter Target

LEGO Harry Potter fans, it looks like there’s an event at Target that you may be interested in attending for some cool swag. On Saturday, July 21 from 11am-2pm, Target will be holding a free Harry Potter 20th Anniversary event and it looks like some of the giveaways, while supplies last, include a LEGO Harry Potter branded Hogwarts crest cinch bag and a poster featuring Harry, Hermione, and Ron. It also looks like there’s an opportunity to enter to win a brick-built Hedwig statue. If you’re heading to San Diego Comic Con 2018, you’ll notice that the Target event is held on the same day so you’ll have to figure out your priorities. I’ll probably have to find the giveaways on the secondary market as I’ll be at SDCC.

Thanks to our friends at HaileyBricks and Brickanic for the heads up.
