The LEGO Movie 2 Rex Dangervest First Look

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part Rex Dangervest

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part comes out in a few short months and little details of the movie have been slowly releasing. Back in San Diego Comic Con, the Warner Bros. panel talked about a new character for the movie named Rex Dangervest who is also voiced by Chris Pratt. We now have a look at the character which comes from an upcoming book for the movie on Amazon UK.

As you can see from the image above, Rex wears a blue outfit and he has a disheveled look. As stated from the SDCC panel, Rex is a space traveling archeologist, cowboy, and raptor trainer. This is a play on some of the characters that Chris Pratt has played in other movies including Guardians of the Galaxy, The Magnificent Seven, and Jurassic World.

The LEGO Movie 2 Keeping it Awesomer with Emmet Exclusive Minifigure Revealed

The LEGO Movie 2 Keeping it Awesomer with Emmet

Amazon has updated their listing of The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part Keeping it Awesomer with Emmet which includes an exclusive Emmet minifigure with the book. The minifigure is hard to see but it looks like the one on the cover of the book which shows Emmet’s outfit all tattered. Since it’s hard to see the minifigure through the clamshell glare, it’s hard to see if it is the same one as the ones shown in a few of the sets that were revealed for SDCC.

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part Keeping it Awesomer with Emmet will be released on January 3 and it retails for $11.33. You can pre-order it now and you’ll get the lowest price if it drops between now and then.

Thanks to Michael for the heads up!

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part Wasteland Batman Closer Look

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part Batman

Today is Batman Day and to celebrate, The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part social media networks have released a new image of Wasteland Batman. We saw glimpses of him in the trailer but this closer look of Batman shows him with an upgraded armor. All of the characters looks in the movie, except for Emmet, have changed to a Mad Max style look due to the aftermath of Taco Tuesday. This new look for Batman shows him with some tire shoulder pads and a torn cape. The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part releases in theaters on February 8, 2019.

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part SDCC 2018 Poster on eBay

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part

The Warner Bros. panel was a few days ago at San Diego Comic Con and later in the day the booth handed out an exclusive poster for The LEGO Movie 2 to attendees. I wasn’t lucky enough to get one of these posters but they are available on eBay for a fairly reasonable price. The embossed poster is 19 7/8 x 13 3/8 and will be shipped in a poster tube. Since it looks like it’s an SDCC exclusive, I doubt that LEGO will be using this one as a promotional item. I’ve pulled the trigger on one of them to see how it is and I’ll report back on the quality of it.

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part SDCC 2018 Panel Details

The LEGO Movie 2 Jurassic World

The Warner Bros. SDCC 2018 panel was yesterday and there were some new details for The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. It was announced that the Jurassic World Velociraptors will be making an appearance in the movie. In addition, Chris Pratt stated in the panel yesterday that he will also be voicing another character in TLM2, which will be based on his Jurassic World character Owen Grady, named Rex Dangervest.

There was another new character that was briefly shown off during the panel named Queen Watevra Wa-Nabi who is voiced by Tiffany Haddish who is somewhat like a giant three-eyed, tentacled creature. Finally, I’ve already talked about Jason Momoa voicing Aquaman which you can check out here. There’s no footage of the short panel so hopefully we’ll get to see it in the next few weeks after SDCC is finished.

Jason Momoa to Voice Aquaman in The LEGO Movie 2

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part

Today was the Warner Bros. Hall H panel at San Diego Comic Con 2018 and there were some epic trailers that were shown off including a new clip that was shown for The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. The clip confirms that Jason Momoa has been revealed to be voicing Aquaman in the upcoming animated film.

Fans in attendance got to see a short part of the film in which Aquaman is in his traditional outfit appearing alongside Batman, voiced by Will Arnett. Batman sort of brushes off Aquaman and subsequently, Aquaman uses Batman as a surfboard and even uses the voiceline, “My Man” just like in Justice League.

Speaking of Aquaman, there is a life-sized statue of Aquaman made from 30,450 bricks and took 190 hours to design and build.
