The LEGO Ninjago Movie Master Falls (70608) Review

Continuing with my reviews of The LEGO Ninjago Movie sets, my next one I have on hand is the Master Falls (70608). Comingin in as one of the lower-end parts sets for TLNM, it consists of 312 pieces and retails for $29.99.

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Alphabet Translator

If you’ve been collecting The LEGO Ninjago Movie sets, you’d probably have noticed some strange symbols throughout the sets. This is actually the language of Ninjago and LEGO has been doing some things for fans to help decipher the symbols.

If you’re near a LEGO Brand Store, some of them have been giving out a promotional handout which includes a translator for each of the letters of the alphabet. If you’re not near a store, LEGO has also provided an online version of it (http://www.ninjagolanguagetranslator.com/). Here you have a QWERTY keyboard layout for the symbols but there is also a row for the numbers as well which the physical copy does not have.

I do appreciate LEGO releasing a Ninjago language translator especially for younger fans and now everyone can decode what everything says in the sets.

Give More Articulation to The LEGO Ninjago Movie Fire Mech (70615)

A few days ago, I did a review on the new The LEGO Ninjago Movie Fire Mech (70615) and one of the major complaints I had with it was there was no knee joints. Chubbybots over on Flickr saw more changes that they could make to the build to make it more articulated including changes to the knees, ankles, arms, and waist. They’ve even posted a video to show you how you can make changes to your Fire Mech as well.

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Ice Tank Polybag (30427) Review

The LEGO Ninjago Movie sets are now available and there are also a number of polybags that you can find as well. One of these polybags is the Ice Tank (30427) which is currently available at Target stores for $3.49 each.

The 71 piece polybag is a basically a miniature version of the regular 70616 Ice Tank which I’ve already reviewed. This smaller one has all of the defining features of the Ice Tank like the cockpit and the ice cannon in the front, the panels in the middle, the treads on the wheels, and the ice container in the back.

I do like the use of the small chain links for the treads as they were previously only used for LEGO Technic sets. I will say they do not roll well on smooth surfaces but they do work great on carpet or fabric surfaces.

Overall, The LEGO Ninjago Movie Ice Tank Polybag (30427) is a neat little model if you’re a MOC fodder, the chain links themselves are almost worth the price of the polybag itself. As mentioned before, the polybag can be found at Target and I found mine at the checkout lanes.

The LEGO Ninjago Fire Mech (70615) Review

If you know me well, you would know that I really like mechs and when I saw The LEGO Ninjago Movie Fire Mech (70615) in the trailer, I knew it was one of the sets I needed to get. It contains 944 pieces and comes in at a very moderate $69.99 price point.

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Double VIP Point Promotion

LEGO is having a promotion on some The LEGO Ninjago Movie sets in which you can earn Double VIP Points. The promo isn’t widely advertised on the product pages but the points are shown in the shopping cart.
