The Disney Princess Frozen: Elsa’s Ice Palace by Fohzen is the latest project to hit 10,000 on LEGO Ideas. This project was inspired by the movie and was submitted before the official LEGO Disney Princess Elsa’s Sparkling Ice Castle (41062) was released late last year. This version of the castle is made with more translucent bricks to give it a more natural ice look to it.
Elsa’s Ice Palace will be joining The Discworld, Science Adventures, and the Medieval Market Street as qualifiers for the First 2015 Review Stage. Although the project was created before the official set was released, it has a small chance of passing due to LEGO having an active license with Disney and they even stated in the comments, “a project based on an existing LEGO license has a smaller chance of passing the LEGO Review than other projects.” Many fans of the project would like to see this set be produced but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
