TT Games Game Director Arthur Parsons has just wrapped up his interview with Gamespot at E3 2014 and there was some more gameplay footage and details of LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. One cool detail that Arthur divulged was that the whole Justice League would be available to play at the start of the game. Also, the Legion of Doom will also be introduced as well. During the gameplay, there were a number of members of LoD that were shown on the character select screen including Cheetah, Lex Luthor, and Solomon Grundy. Other villains that are also playable included Joker, Firefly, and Killer Croc. There were also a number of super heroes that were featured on the character screen such as Batman, Robin, Cyborg, Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Superman, Wonder Woman, Bat-Mite, Bleez, Plastic Man, and Atom. There will probably be more Red Lantern characters that will be playable as you progress in the game.
We also got to see the different types of suits that various characters could change into. Prominently featured was all of Cyborg’s suits such as his Giant Suit, Sonar Suit, Magnet Suit, Space Suit, Demolition Suit, and Stealth Suit. Arthur also slowed off another of Robin’s suit which is his Techno Suit. It allows Robin to remote control a Toy Wonder. The other suit we got to see a glimpse of was Robin’s Attract Suit which sucks up studs. We also got to see a couple of Batman’s new suits in action such as the Space Suit and Sensor Suit.
Some other details that was announced was that there will be hubs like in The LEGO Movie Video Game such as the Batcave, the Justice League Watchtower, the Hall of Justice, and the Hall of Doom. Gotham will also be visited in the story mode but that is all Arthur spoke of without spoiling the game. The beginning space stage is very similar to Resogun if you’ve played that before on PS4.
Arthur mentioned that there are some famous voice actors that have recorded dialogue for LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. Could we possibly be hearing Adam West’s voice in the game?
Finally, a popular question that was asked by fans was will there be a bonus minifigure for pre-ordering the game and the answer is yes although Arthur declined to say who it will be. However, he did say that it will be a very special one. Could this finally be the Green Lantern we’ve all been waiting for? We shall see in the next few months.
The game will be available on major video game consoles as well as PC this fall. Again, I’ve taken some screencaps of the Gamespot interview and you can see them below along with the interview itself.
