One of the current promotions still going on the LEGO Shop is for the LEGO Candy Store (40692). Until the end of July, you can get the 345 piece set with purchases of $200, while supplies last. The Candy Store is the next set in the microscale store sets that have released this year joining the Flower Store (40680) and the Fruit Store (40684).
The front of the Candy Store is very colorful especially with the different colored awnings using slope pieces. The use of transparent-colored cheese slopes for the window give them the extended displays.
The second floor has a stickered Candy Shop sign in front of the window flanked by some flowers. At the top of the store, you can a large piece of candy for the sign and it is also stickered.
On the back, the two floors are filled with miniature candies and confectioneries. The left side on the bottom floor has a small area for the counter and register.
If you’re already collecting the microscale store sets, the LEGO Candy Store (40692) should be on your list if you haven’t gotten it yet although I still think the price point is a little high for what you get. The style of the Candy Store is similar to the other stores with the extended lower floor and the recessed upper floor. It’s not bad but something different would’ve been nice although I can see why LEGO is going to the same style for this line.
