One of the new LEGO Seasonal sets for this holiday season is the Christmas Table Decoration (40743). The set 433 piece set retails for $39.99 and will be released on September 1.
The first part of the build is for the base where everything else builds upon on which uses a number of plates and curved bricks.
For the opening part of the leaves, you build the outer edges first using some of the darker green leaves. Right in the middle, there’s a round platform which is used for the candle and more of the flower decorations.
Following that, more leaves are are layered on, this time with some lighter green leaves.
Red berries are attached to the end of the leaves while the bushes makes use of ball joints on the sides.
Next up, there are white flowers on the brown branches as well as pearl-gold firework pieces for the golden stars.
Lastly we have the red candle in the middle as well as the dark red ribbon in the front.
Overall, the LEGO Christmas Table Decoration (40743) is a very pretty and detailed set that uses different plant pieces to cover up a lot of space. The downside of it is that it is also pretty fragile as parts tend to fall and don’t even think of holding the set by the candle. The price is also a little high for what you get. I think $24.99 would’ve been the perfect price for it and even $29.99 would be pushing it.
