Come this January, we have the smallest LEGO DC set in the wave with Batman & Batmobile vs. Mr. Freeze (76301). The set has 63 pieces and retails for $19.99.
Minifigures
The two minifigures in the set are Batman and Mr. Freeze. Batman has a new torso print for the chest armor and the belt. He has the usual double-sided face that we’ve seen before and has the Batarang as an accessory.
Mr. Freeze also has new printing for his cryo-suit which is in a light blue color scheme with a highly detailed back for tubing. The head is the same one as in The Animated Series Batmobile. His accessories include the ice blaster and a red crystal.
Build
The first part of the build is the Mr. Freeze’s freezing contraption. In the middle, it has a launcher that sloots some trans-blue pieces at Batman.
The other part of the build is the small Batmobile that uses the 4+ Starter Brick that allows kids to easily build it. It sort of gives off Mighty Micros vibes with the styling of the car but with bigger wheels.
Results
Obviously the LEGO DC Batman & Batmobile vs. Mr. Freeze (76301) is geared towards the younger kids that have grown out of DUPLO and headed towards the regular sets. For the regular collectors, there are two exclusive minifigures to get but that’s pretty much it.
