At the beginning of the March, LEGO released a new dress collection for the LEGO Disney line and the first one that we’re checking out is Cinderella’s Dress (43266). The set has 474 pieces and retails for $39.99.

Minidoll
The set includes a Cinderella minidoll which I believe is new. The torso is an old piece but was only introduced earlier this year. The dress piece is new and it has some shine where the detailing is at. The hairpiece is also new showing her with earrings. She has the Gus mouse piece as an accessory, a piece also used many times in teh past.

Build
The build has three parts, the dress itself, the dress stand, and the display stand. The dress has a blue and white color scheme like in the movies. The ruffled skirt that is on the octogon piece has two differernt patterns. One of the patterns have printed 1×3 tiles for detailing.

The display stand has more of a yellow and blue color scheme. The front part has a printed tile with Cinderella’s face on it. On the back side, there’s a door where you can store the Cinderella minidoll. The dress sits on top of the stand using a turntable so it can spin around easily.

There’s also some hidden areas on the display stand. The sides are able to open up to reveal some more play features. The left side has a table set up with cookies and tea. The other side opens up to reveal a sewing machine.

Results
The new LEGO Disney dress line is a neat concept that can open up to a myriad of possibilities. Cinderella’s Dress (43266) is an interesting start but it does have some flaws. The dress does seem on the shorter side. Also the ruffles on the dress do get repetitive as you have to the two designs four times. The dress stand on the display stand is a nice concept and it works well especially the spinning feature. The hidden areas on the display stand gives kids more play features. There’s also a key piece but there’s nowhere to put it in which is quite strange.

Thank you to LEGO for sending in this set for me to review. The content above represents my own opinion and not the company. Review sets sent in does not guarantee a positive review.
