In a few weeks, LEGO will be releasing the LEGO Disney Series 2 Collectible Minifigures (71024) which is a continuation of more Disney characters from a few years ago. Each blind bag is priced at $3.99 each and there are a total of 18 characters to collect.
Like with The LEGO Movie 2 Collectible Minifigures, the packaging for the bags are the newer kind whih are made of a thinner plastic. Some bags also have an inner bag to keeps some of the parts separate, mainly the capes and stands. The characters who have the inner bags are Elsa, Anna, Jafar, Hercules, and Jack Skellington. Lastly we have the inserts which feel like they’re made from a different material than previous series and are taped together.
The usual distribution of the minifigures are three complete sets per a box of 60 but with the last couple of CMF series, it hasn’t been like that. With the Series 2 Disney CMF, there are only two complete sets with Huey, Dewey, and Louie being the rarest having only two each per box.
Steamboat Willie
Mickey Mouse
This version of Mickey Mouse is pretty much the same one as from the LEGO Ideas Steamboat Willie (21317) but with some minor differences. The main thing is that this version is plain black and white while the Ideas one had some metallic silver. His hat is also the same as before besides the color differences. His accessory is the ship steering wheels which again is the same one from Steamboat Willie.
Minnie Mouse
Like with Mickey, Minnie Mouse also was in the Steamboat Willie Ideas set with some minor differences. The main thing is that this version doesn’t have the metallic silver that her counterpart. Her accessory is a white lifesaver.
DuckTales
Huey
Huey is dressed in red and also has a new red baseball cap that attaches to the head using a small pin. There’s a new tail piece that goes between the torso and legs. The feet are dual-molded with orange feet. His accessory is a printed Junior Woodchucks Guidebook with a printed 1×2 tile of a page from the book.
Dewey
Dewey is the second of the triplets and he is the one in blue. Everything is pretty much a recolor and his accessory is a rare slingshot piece which first appeared with the Bart Simpson minifig and you get two of them.
Louie
The last of the triplets is Louie who is dressed in green. His accessory is a flashlight and you also get two of them.
Scrooge McDuck
My favorite minifigure from the Series 2 Disney Collectible Minifigures has to be Scrooge McDuck. I grew up watching DuckTales in the morning getting ready for school and I just loved the character. He has on his blue frock coat that is printed on both sides of the torso and on part of the legs. Like with his nephews, Scrooge also has a tail piece that goes between the torso and legs. His feet is dual-molded with his red spats. His head is specially molded with his pince-nez glassed on the bill and a hole on the top for his top hat. His accessories include is Number One Dime in the form of a printed 1×1 round tile and his cane.
Chip ‘n Dale
Chip
Chip is the brown chipmunk with the black nose. There is some printing on the torso for the furs on the body and a stripe and tail on the back. He uses some medium sized legs that are in brown. His accessory is an acorn that uses a dark brown nipple piece and a light brown mandrake piece.
Dale
Dale is the light brown chipmunk who has the red nose. The torso has printing of the fur in the front and his stripe and tail on the back. Like Chip, he also has the medium sized legs. His accessory is a bag, presumably filled with goodies.
Frozen
Elsa
Elsa makes her first appearance as a LEGO minifigure when before she was a minidoll in the LEGO Disney Princess line. Her torso is very detailed with some metallic silver on the front and back as well as on the arms. She has a double-sided cape that goes around her neck and one side of it has a shimmering finish on it while the other is flat. The legs use the large dress piece and it also has some silver streaks going down it. She has a double-sided head with a confident smile on one side and a winking expression on the other. Her braided hair piece uses a soft rubber that goes down her shoulder. Her accessory is a large trans-light blue showflake.
Anna
Like with Elsa, Anna also makes her first appearance as a LEGO minifigure. The torso is mostly black with a light blue inner shirt. Both the torso and legs have some printing of rosemaling patterns on the front. She has a soft purple cape that goes around the neck and is held down by her double ponytail hair piece. She has a double-sided head with a smile on one side and a winking expression on the other. Her accessory is a lantern.
Aladdin
Jafar
Jafar has a dark red torso with some black printed on the front and back. He has a black shoulder piece that works well for him. The cape that goes around his neck is black and red. The legs use a black slope piece for the bottom portion of the robe. He has a double-sided head with a stoic look on one side and evil smirk on the other. He has a new turban piece with a red jewel printed in the middle. He has a cobra head staff as an accessory.
Jasmine
Like with Elsa and Anna, Jasmine also makes her first appearance as a LEGO minifigure after previously being a minidoll. She has on her classic medium azure outfit but the printing of her skin tone on the front and back of the torso is a bit darker than the arms and the head. Speaking of her head, she only has a single-sided head with a smiling expression. The hair piece is made of a soft rubber which also has her earrings molded on. Her accessory is a white bird that was in the garden.
Hercules
Hades
Hades has a light blue skin tone and he has on a black robe with a gray undershirt. The robe goes all the way down to the legs which dissipates at the ends. The legs looks like Ursula’s tentacles from Series 1 but this is a brand new piece and it fills up the stand. His head and trans-blue flame hair is molded into one piece and he has a derpy grin going on. His accessories include two trans-orange flame pieces.
Hercules
Hercules is seen wearing a brown Roman warrior armor with printing of the lightning bolt on the belt. The legs are dual-molded with printing of the skirt armor and his sandels. He has a double-sided head with a happy expression on one side and an angry one on the other. His hair piece also has a red headband molded on. His accessories include a sword and shield that is printed with the lightning bolt.
The Nightmare Before Christmas
Sally
Sally has a faded blue fabric skin and she wears a ragged dress that is made up of multiple pieces of cloth that are stitched together. She does have a double-sided head with a smile on one side and an open-mouth smile on the other. The hair piece is a new mold showing her long red hair. I wish there there was a way for LEGO to show off her long slender neck because she does look slightly off without it. Her accessory is a black flower.
Jack Skellington
Jack Skellington is wearing his iconic black pinstriped suit that also has printing on the arms. There is a black cloth piece for the coattails that goes between the torso and legs. In addition, he also has a black bat bowtie piece that goes around the neck. His white head shows him with a happy expression. His accessory is a black and white present that is filled with printed 1×1 trans-clear tiles of snowflakes.
The Incredibles
Edna Mode
We finally have a legit Enda Mode minifigure after seeing a weird version with the 30615 polybag from The Incredibles Video Game. This version of her shows her with a dark blue jacket with short black legs. She does have a regular head that shows her with a stern look on one side and a smile on the other. Her hair piece also has her real eyes and glasses molded and printed on. Her accessories include a bag with a printed 1×2 tile with her logo and a teacup.

Frozone
Lastly we have Frozone who was notably missing from the LEGO Juniors The Incredibles 2 sets from last year. He is in his blue and white supersuit. His head shows him with his mask and special blue googles. The accessories included with him are some trans-clear Power Black pieces and a 4×4 gray plate with a 1×2 plate on the bottom for his disc.
Results
The LEGO Disney Series 2 Collectible Minifigures (71024) is a mixed bag for me but it does include a lot of good characters that fans would want. Again my favorite is Scrooge McDuck but there’s a few others that I do enjoy such as Hades and Jack. However, there’s also a few characters that are somewhat lazy on LEGO’s part including Mickey and Minnie along with Huey, Dewey, and Louie and the chipmunks.
There’s no doubt that we’ll be seeing more Disney minifigures in the future because there’s just so many more characters to explore. We’re already two series in and it’s interesting that there’s still no sign of Goofy or other Disney princesses like Snow White or Mulan.
