We’re only a few sets away from being done with the LEGO DREAMZzz reviews and today we have Mr. Oz’s Spacebus (71460). This set has 878 pieces and retails for $99.99.
Minifigures
With a size this set, it only has two minifigures of Mateo and Mr. Oz but is packed with little characters including Albert, Z-Blob, Logan, Susan, Denny, Propper Chopper, Captain Bedbeard, and Flight Knight.
Mateo is in his usual blue and green outfit. His double-sided head shows him with a smile on one side and a smirk on the other. His accessory is the pencil spear.
Mr. Oz is exclusive to this set with him wearing a blue shirt underneath a brown jacket. He also wears a white Space Marine armor with a printed hourglass tile on the chest. His head shows him with half glasses with a bushy moustache but you can’t really see it because of the head/beard piece. His accessories include a blaster and an hourglass.
Albert is a little chimpanzee that wears a white space suit. His head is fully black but has a printed face through the visor. His accessory is a wrench.
Z-Blob is the usual green character that we’ve seen before in many other sets.
Logan is the usual blue character that we’ve also seen before.
Susan is a Grimspawn that has the most details on it. The front of the body is fully decorated and it wears a neck bracket to hold the pink wings. She also has a large molded piece for her head showing the flames. She has a large spear as an accessory.
Denny has a plain black body and head which will be the same for the rest of the Grimspawn in this set. He does wear a space helmet and air tank and has a blaster.
Propper Chopper has a backpack helicopter and wears a top hat. His accessory is a cleaver.
Captain Bedbeard resembles a pirate with the tricorn with a propeller. His accessories include a sword and a gun.
Flight Knight has on a knight helmet that also has a propeller. He has a large sword as an accessory.
Build
The main build of the Spacebus is the bus itself which is a combination of a school bus as well as a shuttle. It’s actually more shuttle than bus because the only part of the bus we can see are the side door with the four windows. It is able to open out to reveal some seats. Behind the seats is a translucent sticker display screen.
The front windshield opens upwards to reveal a single seat cockpit. Flanking the cockpit are a pair of stud shooters on each side.
The back door of the Spacebus opens up to store a small rover.
The main alternate build that is shown on the box is the rocket powered one. There are a couple of large thrusters by tail. There’s also a satellite that fits on the turntable. On the ends of the wings, there are stud gatling guns mounted on for extra artillery.
The other build is a little bit more outlandish with an extra large cannon mounted on top of the Spacebus. The other parts of the bag are used for a medium sized starfighter as well as a mini spaceship for Albert.
Results
The LEGO DREAMZzz Mr. Oz’s Spacebus (71460) is a really fun set to build. Although it doesn’t resemble a bus besides the side doors, the shuttle part is on point. It has lots of playability especially with the version with the gatling guns. We finally have a set that has more unique characters with a lot of the Grimspawn being exclusive to this set.
