In my first review of the March 2022 wave of LEGO Harry Potter sets, we have another entry in the Hogwarts Moment sets with the Divination Class. The set has 297 pieces and retails for $29.99. The contents of the box includes two numbered bags, the book covers, a 2×16 plate, a sticker sheet, and the instructions.
Minifigures
There are three minifigures in the set, Harry Potter, Parvati Patil, and Professor Trelawney. Harry has on an open robe that shows the Gryffindor sweater. His double-sided head shows him with a happy expression on one side and a determined look on the other.
Parvati Patil is a new minifigure in the Gryffindor robes. She has a double-sided head showing happy and scared expressions.
Professor Trelawney has an updated look as shown in the Prisoner of Azkaban where she was teaching her Divination class. She has a sand-green outfit with a brown shawl that has patterns on the front and back of the torso. The legs also have similar patterns. Her double-sided head shows her with a smile on one side and a concerned look on the other. Her hair piece also has her bandana molded on as well.
Build
The build is similar to previous Hogwarts Moment sets where a particular textbook from the class is shown on the cover. When you open up the book, everything is actually upside-down. The left background cover shows some stairs which is the classroom exit.
The spine of the book has some nice detailing with the owl at the top and a cupboard below it. The middle has a spot for a gem and the cupboard hold a textbook which shows the Grim on the inside.
The right background cover shows lots of teacups which are used for Tessomancy, the magical art of reading tea leaves to predict the future. There’s a spot near the bottom with some teacups which can be paired up with the teapot on the table.
Like with the other classroom sets, there are also some small accessory builds to go along with the set. There’s an armchair, a separate cupboard with more teacups, a table, the table with the teapot, and also a table with a crystal ball. All of these builds can be combined into the book to be packed away for easy storage.
Results
The LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Moment: Divination Class (76396) is actually a decent set with some nice builds on the inside. The minifigure selection is also decent. There are downsides to the set which includes the stickers that go on the inside covers. Luckily, the front cover is printed. Also the price point is a tad bit high for what you get. I feel that $24.99 would be a better medium.
Thank you to LEGO for sending in this set for me to review. The content above represents my own opinion and not the company. Review sets sent in does not guarantee a positive review.
