Now that places are starting to open back up, LEGO has announced that the LEGO House will be reopening next month on June 22. There will be some changes that will take place when it reopens which you can read below. For those who are unable to attend, LEGO will be also continuing the LEGO House @ Home streaming activities.
LEGO House re-opens on June 22
We are so pleased to announce that LEGO® House is now opening again. From 22 June 2020, LEGO House will once again be buzzing with life and cheerful guests!
However, it is important to stress that the opening-up of LEGO House will be gradual and controlled and with a very limited number of guests every day to be able to keep the physical distance needed according to the health authorities.
To visit LEGO House all guests must book a ticket in advance at www.LEGOHouse.com – this also applies to annual pass holders.
New initiatives
LEGO House has made some important choices in terms of hygiene, so that guests can have a safe experience in LEGO House:
We know that hand hygiene is the most important factor in terms of mitigating the spread of infection. Therefore, we are doing all that we can to ensure the best possible conditions for optimum hand hygiene in LEGO® House with many hand sanitiser dispensers available in all the zones. Moreover, we are encouraging all guests to take care of themselves and to ensure they maintain good hand hygiene.
General cleaning at LEGO House has been greatly intensified to ensure that all surfaces which are frequently touched by many different people are thoroughly cleaned – for example handles, toilets, handrails, check-in stations, debit/credit card terminals etc. We have a permanent cleaning team, looking after the building both during and outside opening hours. In addition, we have introduced clear hygiene procedures for all LEGO House employees.
We use a disinfectant product which is approved by Statens Serum Institut. All bacteria are killed within 2 minutes. All surfaces are sprayed with the disinfectant product to reduce the risk of infection.
We introduces 72-hour LEGO bricks quarantine. All the brick containers are emptied and cleaned every day before being refilled with bricks which have been in 72-hour quarantine.
Due to COVID-19, no loose bricks are sold in the store – which is why “Pick-a-Brick” and “Build a Minifigure” is temporarily unavailable.
We are well aware that many LEGO fans do not have the possibility to travel to Billund despite that LEGO House is now open. Therefore we’ll continue with our LEGO House @ Home streaming activities to both AFOLs and families.
