LEGO has announced a new concept for LEGO Ideas called the Parking Lot. It is for LEGO Ideas projects that need additional time in review for whatever reason. These project will be put in the Parking Lot until a final decision can be made.
It is stated that it’ll be most useful for strong projects that is affected by certain aspects like timing and it could mean that it doesn’t get approved. We’ve seen it happen many times before and the creator would have to resubmit the idea and hit the 10k goal again. Now LEGO will just park these submissions to see if they can make it into an official set at a later time.
There will only be a limited number of projects in the Parking Lot at any time with and they’ll make a decision within a maximum of three review periods.
