In my other review of the LEGO sets for Thor: Love and Thunder, we now take a look at Attack on New Asgard (76207). The set has 159 pieces and retails for $19.99.
Minifigures
There are three minifigures included in the set, Thor, Mighty Thor, and Gorr. Thor has on a new blue outfit for the movie that is accented by metallic printing on both sides of the torso. The details also go down the legs as well. He has a double-sided head that shows him with a smile on one side and electric eyes on the other. His accessory is a brick-built Stormbreaker.
Mighty Thor has on sort of a viking style outfit that also has the metallic silver. Her double-sided head shows a calm look on one side and an angry expression on the other. Her helmet has the older comic book style and has her hair molded on. Her accessory is a reforged Mjolnir as seen in the trailer.
Lastly, we have Gorr who looks like a mummy with the white wrappings around the torso. His head shows an evil smile with some orange eyes. His accessory is the All Black sword.
Build
The whole build is basically for the Shadow Monster. To be honest, this thing is ugly and looks like a kid built it (sorry to the designer). The head has some claws on the top with some wings coming out the sides. The eyes are printed 1×1 round tiles but the mouth is stickered shoeing its teeth. It attaches to the body using some hinges.
The torso doesn’t have much there and the arms are attached using ball joints. The extra large hands have some stickers some detailing and uses pincers.
The lower body is the bulkiest part of the monster. There are lots of vines and claws all around.
Results
Overall, the LEGO Marvel Attack on New Asgard (76207) is a very underwhelming set. The Shadow Monster just doesn’t look good and is very ugly. We haven’t really seen it yet in the trailer so we don’t really know what it looks like. Maybe it does look like that in the movie and LEGO hit it spot on. The minifigure selection is also not too good if you got The Goat Boat (76208) since they are the same ones in that set. As of right now, there is no reason to get this set if you get The Goat Boat.
Thank you to LEGO for sending in this set for me to review. The content above represents my own opinion and not the company. Review sets sent in does not guarantee a positive review.
