In my next review of the LEGO Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 sets, we take a look at the medium-sized set from this wave called Baby Rocket’s Ship (76254). It has 330 pieces and retails for $34.99.
Minifigures
Regular Rocket has the comics version of the blue uniform with the Guardians symbol on the chest. He uses the short legs that cannot bend. The molded head piece is brand new for 2023. It has the standard smiling expression but with no printed headgear. Its accessory is a enhanced blaster.
We also have baby Raccoon which is a new mold. It is in a sitting position and the it has a cuter face print. I do like how generic it is so you can use it in other builds.
Build
The only part of the build is for Rocket’s ship which we saw a glimpse of in the trailer. If you watched Blade Runner before, it looks a little bit like the Spinner with the style of it. The front arms have thrusters attached to the ends. They are on axles so you can adjust them to any position you want. Both arms are on click hinges so they can move both up and down as well as opening out.
The cockpit area is very small with enough room for big Rocket and baby Rocket. The computer screens use some printed slopes.
The back thrusters are also on click hinges so there’s some good movement here as well. The can either fold down or turn up and down. There is a stud shooter on each of the thrusters.
Results
Overall, the LEGO Marvel Baby Rocket’s Ship (76254) is a decent small-to-medium sized set that has a good amount of play features. The Raccoon minifigure is alright but baby Raccoon is very cute. The price for it seems a little high for what you get but holding off on a small sale would make it more worthwhile.
Thank you to LEGO for sending in this set for me to review. The content above represents my own opinion and not the company. Review sets sent in does not guarantee a positive review.
