One of the new LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 sets is the Guardians of the Galaxy Headquarters (76253) and it is the first one out of the wave we’ll check out. It has only 67 pieces and retails for $9.99.
Minifigures
This set only contains Star-Lord and Groot as the minifigures. Star-Lord has on the new Guardians uniform which takes reference from the comics version. The color scheme is mostly dark blue with some red and gray highlights. His double-sided head shows him with a somewhat confused look on one side and a stern expression on the other. His accessories are his Quad Blasters.
Groot looks to be the same teen version of the character from two other sets, The Guardians’s Ship (76193) and the 2022 Advent Calendar (76231). The only differences here is that he has a shoulder armor piece and he has a new expression.
Build
The build of the headquarters is extremely small. Before we get to the main section, there is a small table with some tools and a cup on it.
The headquarters seem to be more of an entrance to the headquarters with the doorway and the stickered Guardians sign inn the Knowhere language. The support bar underneath is interesting as it isn’t attached to anything on the back but it looks good.
The wall has another sticker showing scans of two unknown characters. There are some clips next to it holding a wrench and a shovel.
Results
The highlights out of the LEGO Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy Headquarters (76253) are probably the minifigures themselves. This is the cheapest way to get this version of Star-Lord as he also appears in The New Guardians’ Ship (76255) while this version of Groot is technically exclusive to this set although the torso and legs are in previous sets. The build itself is very bland and frankly not too interesting but the price is good for two minifigures.
